I mentioned this video to someone, and they said, "I don't know man, 12,000 calories doesn't sound like that much."

That was how Kazmaier tore his pec...I like the idea but it would be carnage, there's no way today's guys would be conditioned to it and get through it safely.

You're right. Carnage might be entertaining to watch once, but there would be no more events after that.

A lot of the events in the first few years were more like circus events than actual strongman events.

The 2017 World's Strongest Man Finalists are:

    Brian Shaw
    J-F Caron
    Hafthor Bjornsson
    Martins Licis
    Laurence Shahlaei
    Konstantine Janashia
    Eddie Hall
    Mateusz Kieliszkowski
    Žydrūnas Savickas
    Nick Best

This is probably the most competitive final ever.

I bet Shaw wins, but I would like to see Mateusz Kieliszkowski win. He's the next Mariusz Pudzianowski.

I predict the winner will have a beard. (That pic of Shaw is old, he now has a beard )

No beard, from Poland, explosive, first name begins with 'M', last name ends in 'owski'. He could be a clone!
