    Default Adidas - now for wide feet?

    Public service announcement -->

    Adidas Adipowers always get good reviews but seem to get a lot of complaints about beeing narrow. I have wide feet so I kept trying to hunt down a pair of (no longer made) Nike Romaleo 2s. I ended up giving the red/gray Adipowers a try (I have EE feet) and there is plenty of room, especially with thinner socks. I tried the other 3 pairs in my size and they all fit similarly (i.e. I didn't get a random wide one). I didn't go up/down from my regular shoe size.

    So, for folks with wide feet be sure to give these a try if you've previously been soured on Adidas's narrow width.

    Were they just regulars off the shelf or were they sized for EE?

    I use to say the same thing about bands before they became popular.

    I had a pair of the Adipowers, and I thought they ran a little tight for width. I could still squat in them just fine, but the toe box (especially) and the sides didn't seem nearly as wide as my dudewins. Being snug was probably a good thing anyways.

    Those shoes look pretty cool. I had the older version with the wooden heel, but I liked them a lot. I now squat in flats, but I dudewins were really solid.

    Yeah, those old school ones are real gems.

    I have those exact shoes, purchased recently. You won't come away disappointed. My 9EE feet are a *little* snug in them but playing with the strap tension helps my feet not go numb (I tend to over-tighten them).

    Good to hear, I have the Nike Romaleo 2's and I love them. I'm just looking for what to get next after those wear out.

    Yes, off the shelf. Width selection was not an option during purchase.
