Luke’s Barbell Club, the first Starting Strength Gym in Austin, Texas, is a private gym founded in 2010 by Coach Joyce Luke, who has over 25 years of experience lifting and coaching. The Club focuses on barbell strength training as THE best exercise for strength, health, aging, and performance. Training is done in small groups, and private coaching, form checks, and lifter drop ins are welcome by appointment. Every member gets personalized and ongoing coaching by Coach Luke each workout, and a training environment that is supportive, safe, and effective.
