...when you spend the weekend "recovering" by doing heavy chores, eating sporadically, and you see a train wreck of a workout coming.

Oldsters can't drink oceans of it all of the time but there is something rejuvenating about it when other variables don't add up to success.

I'm just getting back into the range of the weights I used in college after doing SS for a little over a month. I notice a huge difference in how I feel on the days I'm not able to get a quart of milk in me. I'll go up to 1/2 gallon on some days (all 1% since I have plenty of bf around my midsection already).

Yeah I thought the same thing, and people here were grilling me for it lol go figure.

Anyway I agree - milk and creapure are my niggers!

Ditch the 1% though. That's for women and aerobics instructors who like to prance about in tights and talk about their feelings.

My lifting partner for years told me that chocolate milk was THE recovery drink. As much as I love it I figured he was blowing sunshine up my skirt. Well, turns out the University of Washington did a study for the best recovery drinks, and #1? Chocolate milk..............it ranked WAY ahead of Gatorade.

The other trainers in my gym can now spot those I've given a routine to. Most of them are drinking milk as their workout drink.

Nobody on Bosu balls drinks milk during their workout.

Just drank 16 delicious ounces of the stuff. I think JP recommends low fat, probably so the carbs get to work faster.
