    Rip (and others),

I have a nuisance situation to deal with and any advice would be welcome.

I started suffering from neck and lower back pain in my late teens, cause unknown, and had it off an on until I started lifting about 2 years ago at age 32. A few months ago the pain gradually came back and an MRI now shows bulging C5 and L2 discs, along with a misaligned hip.
Somehow my doctor failed to actually look at the MRI and treated me with facet joint injections, which of course did nothing (can you say "co-pay"?). Frustrated, I went to a Chiro who immediately noticed the bulges on the MRI and claims that 6 adjustment treatments will take care of it. He doesn't see any reason I can't continue to lift during the treatment. I hope he's right on both accounts.

I am very curious to know what treatment has worked for others in this situation.
    Thanks!

6 adjustments will take care of a bulging disc? LOL what a quack! Sure the adjustments may relieve some pain but that is about it.

Yeah, I was surprised at his enthusiasm. It is probably worth pursuing treatment to get the hip misalignment worked out, but I expect I will need to look elsewhere to resolve the discs.
