    Hi Rip!

I'm now doing the Starting Strength program and it was going pretty well untill I started to feel terrible pain in the lower part of the ribs from the left, actually I'm pretty sure that I broke them a little bit or something.
When I press on it with my hand it hurts so bad, when I sneeze I just want to kill myself because of the terrible pain it makes!
I think that the reason for this injury is my Inzer leather belt which I wear using a rack as you showed in one of your videos.
When I wear it,I take the end of it and hold it on a rack and drop myself back(the left side of the ribs take on them all the load of my body weight).
I kept on training when the pain was not that bad,but now I actually allmost unable to wear the belt.
I don't know what to do,I want to train and improve my strength so bad,now is the period of the P.R's,and everyday when the rib pain calm down,I wake them again by wearing the belt.
Today the squat(127.5KG) was terrible, because It's hard to keep the belt on,but the Deadlift(155KG) was great, and It's kinda strange to me.

Anyway, what is your advice in this situation?
Should I keep on training and ignore the pain?
I thought of putting less weiths on the bar and working without a belt for a while, untill it heals.

Thanks a lot and sorry for my poor english!
    Have a great weekend!

The belt shouldn't be over your ribs. It also doesn't need to be very tight.

How exactly did the injurt occur?
