Yesterday was my diet cheating day. Ate an 8oz chocolate bar.

This morning I was 4 lbs heavier. WTF?

I might have to throw the damn scale away. I'm doing my 'B' workout tonight.

Relax, it would be practically impossible for you to put on 4lb of fat in a day (Unless you ate like 15,000 calories in one day, and even then probably not). Its probably just water+ glycogen (especially if doing low carb) plus the food in your gut.

I also vote for water + glycogen + poop.

A few pounds up or down is random noise. Ignore it.

Yep to the above. Happens to me all the time.

Yep. Down to 231 this morning. My experience has been that when I restrict my junk carbs for a while, like I've been doing, I'll retain lots of fluid when I fall off the wagon...

    This.

There are many things that account for a day-by-day weight fluctuation. A 7 or 15-day average is more useful, but even then, don't spend too much time trying to explain every change.

Dont throw the scales out. Just find your fluctuations and as long as you are in them you are good. I sometimes go up 6 or 7 pounds. I take it your are trying to lose some fat? I noticed you weigh about what i do. How tall are you?

I weigh myself daily in the morning after going to the bathroom. I am sometimes surprised (like I was today) by a 1 or 2 lb spike in body weight but the number always drops back w/in the next day or so to the trend line established by prior measurements.
