5 years ago I tried doing the Crossfit thing. The best thing about that was I was introduced to barbells and SS. After 1 year of crossfit I realized that it wasn't working for improving my skiing. I knew I had to do something radically different. Barbells did just that and a whole lot more. I'm 62 years young and skiing better than ever. I look forward to my workouts because it transfers over to my skiing so well. It even helps with the drive home. My back doesn't get so cranky like it used to. The barbells have been a fountain of youth for me. I've noticed that the squat position for downhill skiing is so strong and stable it's shocking. Every skier should get under the bar. It's fun to take off the helmet and shock the younger skiers with all that grey hair and speed.
