    Default New Whey Protein Shot?

    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    Anyone use this stuff? I take a shot immediately after my workout, before showering. It has 42 g of collagen and milk protein, but I've heard that collagen isn't too bioavaliable. Anyone have an opinion on this stuff?

    Yep, collagen sucks. Just use BCAAs + waxy maize + creatine. Way better.

    It is a major constituent in just about every tissue, but it sucks as a protein source.

    I use the shots. Trying to get my hair to grow and KEEP wht I got. And yes, it does help a lot. For me anyway.

    The point is not whether it's better than nothing, which it most certainly is, the point is whether or not it's optimal, which it most certainly is not.

    I take the shot, followed by 12 oz of strawberry milk after a workout. I know collagen is hard to digest, but i think the ingredients for the shot is made up of hydrolyzed collagen. That's a 10 dollar word for partially digested, so this should increase bio-avaliability. It makes me feel good, anyhow and at least I know I am getting a decent shot of post workout protein from the milk! Yummy!

    It's not the bioavailability only, it's the amino acid profile, which is junk. Get a whey or casein (or a blend) protein shot if you can find one.
