Post a video of your deadlift, including the entire set-up, from a good angle. Use the guidelines in the sticky.
It's possible, but unlikely, that this is a hamstring issue. My guess is it's a set-up issue, but let's see.
I guess Mark's away -- anyone else have an opinion on this?

My gym has strict rules about filming, so I don't think I can manage a video of me.
Guess I'll hire a personal trainer, and hope they can sort me out.
Don't suppose any SS people are in Toronto?
As it so happens, Alex Cibiri is out your way.
Get this Cibiri person. Asking the typical PT how to do a deadlift is like asking a McD's cook how to make a creme brulee.
Disclaimer: I am not a coach
You aren't at the U of T gym by any chance are you?
Anyway, I have met some younger guys with that problem. No matter how much I cued them or tried to physically jam their back into position they couldn't do it (despite having fine control when standing). It may very well be form, and seeing a real coach is a great option. In the meantime watch Rip's lower back control video and really focus on the "squeeze the chest up" and "drop your dick between your legs" cues. Doing hamstring stretches also can't hurt.
