Whereabouts are you located? Be great to have you come by. The camps will probably have to wait until the pandemic restrictions ease up. Until then we have a couple options for folks to book a session with a coach to review and help you with your form. You can go to this page and fill out the form at the bottom for us to chat. Thanks for your post!

Folks had generously offered to help move the weights, racks, etc. when they arrived at the gym. Haven’t forgotten about you. We’re still working on the basics such as flooring, walls, lights, etc. Will let you know when we get to furnishing and equipment. Thanks!

Wanted to share two new options available for those interested in learning more about Starting Strength Boston. First, you can book a free 15 minute phone consultation with Head Coach Nicole Rutherford. Second, you can book time on a Saturday for a free open house and strength evaluation at the gym. Click here to signup for either of these and check out our website. We’re happy to answer your questions. See you at the gym!

Why am I opening Starting Strength Boston? Finally there's an article on startingstrength.com that answers that burning question on everyone's minds.

Have things open up yet? If not, what’s the new opening date?

Certain restrictions are being lifted today! Can’t wait for camps/seminars at this location.

Wanted to write a quick note to everyone who volunteered to come down to the gym and help out during our setup. Thanks for your support of the gym and apologies for not taking you up on that.

We didn't schedule a time for folks to come down and help because we had NO IDEA when items would arrive. And that's not a figurative statement. If you've followed the news lately you know the pandemic has wreaked havoc on the construction industry. Demand has skyrocketed due to a surge in home improvement projects while labor and materials shortages have disrupted supply chains. We've all grown accustom to predictable deliveries with sophisticated online tracking. But items would regularly arrive 4-8 days late and sometimes get lost completely. Every now and then a driver would call (with no advance notice) saying they were in our parking lot and we had to take delivery RIGHT THEN. We just had to react and were grateful the delivery arrived at all.

So thanks for your energy and enthusiasm. Rather than helping us setup the gym, we'd appreciate your help getting the word out that Starting Strength Boston is open and ready to teach the most effective strength training program in the world. Thank you!

    starting strength coach development program
Starting Strength Boston is open and off to a great start. Our sessions are filling up and membership growing.

We're also hiring! A Head Coach position is available. Up to $50/hr for the right candidate plus relocation assistance. 30-35 hours per week coaching three group training sessions per day and leading coach development.

This is the best coaching job in the industry. We are the only Starting Strength Gym on the East Coast (for now) and people come from all over the region to learn about getting stronger. This right Head Coach will make a real impact on the fitness culture in New England. Get in touch if you'd like to discuss: arthur@startingstrengthgyms.com.
