Starting Strength Katy

Hey All!

I've been meaning to start this thread for a while now. The latest update on Starting Strength Katy is that we finalized the last remaining issues on the lease at the end of last week and expect the finalized document for execution tomorrow, Tuesday 8/17. I'm really looking forward to expanding the gyms into this next part of Houston.

Once we get the lease finalized, then we will announce the location and begin pre-registering ahead of opening. Target opening is the end of October. *fingers crossed.

I currently attend starting strength Houston and plan to switching to Katie because Doing so will enable me to not have to worry about the 59-610 intersection. Getting to starting Strength Saturday mornings is an ordeal.

Just a heads up!

Josh Wells, SSC will be moving over from Starting Strength Houston to Starting Strength Katy as Head Coach for that location! Josh will bring years of experience in coaching and gym operations to this new location!

Finally, bids from contractors are coming in. We're in the process of nailing down our construction schedule so Pre-Opening Sign Ups will be starting soon. Stay tuned!

Starting Strength Katy is on track to open in 2 weeks. We will be having our Grand Opening on Saturday, January 15th. We will be hosting the man himself, Mark Rippetoe, at 1pm for a Meet & Greet and a Q&A at 3pm.
