    On the deadlift? or squat/bench?

    Deadlift.

I learned a trick from Rickey Dale Crain but maybe you're already doing it.

Bar goes in base of fingers, thumb goes around, though it slips on my left hand, which is my pronated hand. I haven't tried any tricks more in depth than that.

Try "reverse" hook-gripping the bar. Know how the pointer finger clasps onto the thumbnail to make hook grip work? Clasp onto the pointer/middle finger nail with your thumb instead. Doesn't stop the bar from rolling like hook grip, but it greatly increases the strength of the hold because nails have lots of friction. Another trick showed to me by Chris Duffin. Cut cross-hatching into your thumbnail (in this case pointer/middle nail). Doesn't have to be so deep that you bleed or anything. Just a layer on the top. When you mix it with chalk, the cross-hatch further increases grip/friction just like gripping on the bottom of a shoe.

Of course actually getting your grip stronger might help too. But I see little guys holding onto 600lbs+ pulls using grip technique so I tend to think this stuff can make a pretty big difference.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it next time I pull.

There is a guy, who every time I see him at a meet asks me if I'm going to pull 600. Great guy, but I want to pull 600 so I never have to be asked that question again. He recommended doing some kind of deadlift twice a week with a heavy pull once every other week. That's what I'll be doing. There's no good reason to not pull 600 if I can get 567 this easily.

Nice job dude. Have you ever tried a straight-up hook grip? I occasionally had grip issues with mixed but I've never missed a rep with hook grip (recently pulled 562).
