    Howdy-

I thought that I should put my training log on here since I have been "frequenting" WFAC when I'm passing through town for work. I'm a heavyweight pro strongman who competes mainly with Strongman Champions League in Europe and American Strongman Corp when I'm in the states.

I've been working Wendler's 5/3/1 and doing lots of prowler/hills/barbell complex type cardio. I haven't lost much weight, but I can do a ton more than I could before.

Last week was a deload and then a fun test on Saturday.

    Mon:
155 lbs snatch doubles - 10 in quickest time. I did this in about 3 minutes. I have been working conditioning pretty hard and have lowered the time to about 2:15 so 3 minutes was nice and easy.

    15 minutes treadmill walking. Lame

    Wednesday:
220 axle clean doubles - 10 in quickest time. This took about 2:30 and was easy. I need to move up in weight or volume.

15 mintues treadmill walking. Less lame

    Saturday: Strongman events

I had an idea that I wanted to test my top end strength to see how bad it is for not working on it much. With the 5/3/1 training I've been doing, I haven't gone above about 75% of my all time maxes. I did a competition in Slovakia with very little strongman event training, and it went well. My hope going in was that I would still hit a respectable number in the log clean and press for max.

    90x3x3
    180x3
    270x3 very easy strict presses
    320x2
    360x1
    400x1 Awesome!!!

My best ever is around 415. I was 15 lbs heavier and in much worse shape. The good news is that conditioning work is going well. The bad news is that I have to keep pushing the prowler. In celebration, I bought a prowler to have at home.
