--I've never had a day like today. Today was the first heavy pull day of this training cycle, and the plan was to hit a 5 lb PR for a set of 5. Well, I finished the 5th rep and it felt like a warmup. I should have done the first rep at 555, put the bar down, done another rep at 635 or so, then balled up and pulled 7. If I couldn't have hit it today, it would have been damn close. I might try 675 either next week or the week after. If 675 goes well, I might hit 7 a week or two after that. Got to take it on days it's there, and I didn't do that today.
I know what you mean. For me leaving money on the table is a worse feeling than actually losing money. Applies to a lot of things...
At least you can pretty much count on there being another day like this eventually.
I hope, Steve. I can't remember ever having a day where my performance so drastically exceeded my expectations.

You are on a nice roll, Kyle. Really impressive especially considering you are in the process of cutting weight.
Thanks, John. The diet has made a huge difference. I'm probably consuming twice as much protein as I used to, without any of the useless fats and carbs.
I've also had a confluence of good life events lately. I'm not working OT anymore (my diet and sleep were absolute shit from about March through August of this year when working OT), I got a new, less stressful position at work, and I just generally feel much more optimistic and healthy.
I think all of this has helped me get my cortisol levels down, lose some bellyfat, and put on some muscle.
