I had a hard time believing it, too. But I don't think my training partner is imaginative enough to have dreamt up something so outlandish himself. He said one guy even came out in deadlift slippers and was sent off the platform to go put on shoes.

    11/21

Squat 490 3x3 (RPE 8.6, 9.2, 9.9, or something like that...surprised 3rd set got as hard as it did based on ease of first set. Deload next week. Haven't done a full deload squat week in probably months. I believe this was still a 3x3 PR today.)

    GHR against a band 3x12

Prowler 8 runs of 20 yds

--Forgot to add that bw last weekend was 206 and I feel like I've dropped another lb or two already. I might need to increase my calories soon. Not really looking to lose weight this fast.

Weren't you about 215lbs at the meet less than a month ago? Do you have any new meets coming up?

Yep. 10 lbs in a month is too much to lose. I'm looking to do a meet sometime between Feb and April, but not sure which one. I think USPA has a meet in Dayton, OH that might work.

Wt 204, protein is already around 270 g/day, going to need more carbs.

Deadlift 583x4 (PR. RPE 8-9, couldn't tell due to cold gym temp/hand pain. For sure had another rep left.)

    Snatch grip deadlift 445x5, 533x3

    Speed squat (140 lbs band tension) +275 6x2, +315x2

Bench 225 3x3 (deload, pec wouldn't allow benching)

--Felt terrible, so good thing I wasn't planning to go heavy. Diet has been garbage this week--not nearly enough protein and way too much other crap. Diet will be bad next week, too, because I'm moving apartments and will be busy with that.

--Feeling a little beat up, so took it kind of easy on the volume and accessory work. One of my training partners recently competed in an SPF meet, and in the rules meeting the lifters were told that the SPF no longer allows deadlift slippers or...wait for it...walked out squats. In fact, a walked out squat (i.e. a squat) will get you DQ'd from an SPF meet.

I won't be doing an SPF meet again, and the consensus among the gym members is that, other than those who already are signed up for one last meet, nobody else will be doing SPF meets in the future either.

I'm leaning toward APA or USPA at this point, although the latter doesn't have many meets in the southeast. Anyone have much experience with either of these feds?
There was a USPA meet at my gym in October and the judging was really good and the meet was organized well.
