Keep your chin up, Kyle. Focus on the good days that are ahead.

I've lost my identity. I'm not really training. Just going through motions and feebly trying to stave off atrophy/death.
No. For a true example of this, see my training.

I trained last Friday. To the best of my memory...

    Bench (paused) 275x5, 295x5
    CGBP 245x10
    Pullups 3x10
    Press 95 3x15

    Yesterday

    SLDL 315 3x5
    Regular deadlift 155 3x5
BW squats to a bench (somewhat painful but no damage done) 4x10
    Sled walk 40 yards x 5
    CGBP 315 3x3
    Pullups 3x10

--At least I got to throw 315 on a pull yesterday. Dr. Petrizzo told me it's past time to start strengthening my quad, even if my doc wants to continue being conservative. So I started in with some light deadlifts after the stiff legs as well as some partial BW squats. I go back to the surgeon this afternoon.

I got my op report from the surgeon yesterday, but there was really nothing interesting about it. Don't have it in front of me right now, but it was noted that I had a near full thickness quad tear, they drilled 3 holes in the patella, used a couple of implant anchors, and sewed it up. The doc told me I could start actively extending the knee, deadlifting, and doing light presses. No weighted squats at least until I return in 6 weeks.

A bunch of young lifters were in the gym today, some of them pretty good. They all come up to me and shake my hand and tell me they barely recognize me and introduce me to guys who don't know me by saying things like this guy used to be a freak. Makes me want to vomit.
