    Sumos 265 3x5
Squat 45 3x5 all about an inch high except for maybe the final rep

Frustrating day. Yeah, first time squatting a barbell since my injury and surgery. But I couldn't quite hit depth and my left knee feels seriously fucked up. Pretty sure I have a partial tear of the patella tendon there. I just want to be able to squat enough to do rehab, but I'm not even sure that's possible.

Well, it's something. Best of luck on the rest of your recovery.

I'm sorry to hear you go through this, I hope everything works out! It's like everybody on these forums got injured in 2017, what is happening?!

Have you tried bodyweight squats, then goblet squats until you hit the barbell weight? You might just need to start literally as light as possible.

You may also consider squatting to a high box and lowering it an inch each session without changing the weight as an alternative progression.
