I'm glad, Steve. I'm also glad that Tom has a lift he's good at.

    8/5
Speed deadlift 335+150 band tension 10x2, 405+bandsx2 (yep, speedy)

    Deload bench up to 275x2

    Db row 120x25

    T bar row 3 plates 2x8

    Ab pulldowns 2x25

--Combined my normal Monday and Tuesday workouts. It was going to be a deload bench week anyway. Deadlifts felt good. I definitely needed a deload on bench.

Final season of E&D starts in a few weeks.

Your combined workouts still like they take less than an hour.

I'm looking forward to starting your program again.

Tom, I thought it was all funny. The only thing that's faggy is your being sorry about it.

Dana, my training partners have a propensity to bullshit between sets. What looks like less than an hour's work often can take 2 hrs.

I came up with a haiku on my way to work this morning:

    In the eternal
Struggle of man vs nose hair
    I wage losing war

    P f'in R
    Heavy squats tomorrow.

    starting strength coach development program
    8/8 no workout

My back has been spasming all day and feels totally unrecovered. So I decided to hit the gym for a deload squat day. Looking back through my journal, it was about time for one anyway. I arrived at the gym and waited 25 min for some bitch to do pullups and 45 lb clean and press supersets in the squat rack. Then I just said fuck it and left. I drove to another gym that I heard was ok to see about joining. I looked around for about a min and left. It sucked.

I am going to find somewhere with atmosphere (and where I don't have to wait on any of the fucking equipment), even if I have to create it. Gentry and I are supposed to check out another gym tomorrow. If that doesn't work out, there is one and only one powerlifter I know of in the area and I'm going to see about training with his crew, even though it's a hell of a drive. And if that doesn't work, I'm buying my own shit and putting it in a storage shed (I'm a city boy and can't just make a home gym like a lot of you bumpkins). So, that's the plan. Will prob deload on squats and press heavy tomorrow. Monday will be heavy pulls, 560x4. Next week I'll squat 470x3.
