Today was a Survival Day, not a Go Out and Dominate Day. Got the important reps in, at least. There were so many boners doing so many distracting, annoying things all around me, in close proximity today that I really don't know where to start. Just assume that every rep of every set listed was a real battle to stay focused on the rep and not be distracted by things going on around me in my field of vision and/or range of hearing.

    Squat
    465x1, 485x1, 450x3
Notes: Warm-ups felt ok till 385. Right knee wasn't super happy today. I got all the reps without any major grinding but they felt heavy, slow, and like I didn't have full control. Maybe I wasn't fully recovered from Tuesday. On a Tues/Fri schedule, it may make sense to experiment with doing deadlifts on Friday, moreso than it did on the traditional TM schedule. Or I can look into doing Tues/Sat as my split, though that would eliminate any remaining semblance of a social life that I have.

The slightest bit of right elbow tendon stuff started sneaking in at some point here, so I'll have to watch this closely.

    Power Cleans
    45x3, 135x3x2, 155x3, 175x3, 190x3, 205x3, 215x3x2
Notes: Right wrist wasn't thrilled today either, and I felt sluggish in general on them, so dropped the weight and took these pretty easy today. Everything felt as if it were 20-30lbs heavier than it actually was.

    C2 Erg
    20s Row/1:40 rest x 8 @ RPE: 8,9,10,10,10,10,10,10
Fastest one was 1:22.6 pace, got one stroke down to 1:19. All of the RPE 10's were 1:25 pace or below.

I was all excited about setting a 5RM squat PR today...then I see you benched it for sets of 5 across. Shit.

    Strong work, Wolf.

I really, really would've liked to. But ya, I decided it wouldn't have been a great idea.

Had a good day today with the upper body stuff.

    Bench Press
    345x1, 365x1, 385x1 - all paused, 385 is a paused PR.
    Then 350x3 (unpaused)
Notes: Upon video review, the pause at 385 needs to be longer for meet conditions, but it was a pause and I got it. The long road back post Dec 1, 2012 shoulder injury is officially done. I'll never get those training months back, but feels good to have gotten here. Will upload and post vids later.

    Press
    187x5x5
    Notes:
Last set got a bit hard but generally smooth. Not much to report.

    Chins:
    BW x 9 x 3
    Notes:
Left shoulder/pec insertion area still a little less than thrilled by these.

    Lat Pulldowns
    180x8,8,6
    Notes:
Shoulder felt fine with these. Just getting in more volume. Stopped at 6 on the last set just to ease up the volume slowly, since I went from 2 to 3 sets this week.

Ah, specifically that. Heh. I suppose I was using it in this sense, not the usual literal meaning.

And...here's a video of some bench pressing that would be warm-ups for Kong but was work for me. The pause at 385 was barely a pause at all, and would definitely need to be longer to be legit at a meet. But still a PR.

    Squat
    405x5x5
    Notes:
Wasn't 100% on point with technique today, but felt very strong. These were easy, despite feeling myself get forward and/or loose a few times. Rested 5-7 minutes between sets.

    Power Cleans
    45x3, 135x3, 160x3, 185x3, 205x3, 225x3, 235x3
Notes: Didn't rest long enough after squats before starting these, so were harder than should've been. 235 got a bit sloppy but the others were OK for the most part.

    C2 Erg
    30s Row/90s Rest x 5 @ RPE 7.5, 8.5x4
    Paces were 1:43, 1:38, 1:37, 1:38, 1:35

Dude, you are dominating 405, dominating! Great session. I wasn't expecting that music change. Awesome. Made me want to watch more.
