    Thanks Rob. Thanks.
Not like I was focused on squatting or anything...

I don't practice the clean often enough to be really good at it, "technically proficient," if you've been following that thread up in Rip's Q&A. But I'm not usually so utterly horrible at it, either. It was all kinds of awful.

I'm giving her a two week time out to contemplate what's really important in life. (Hint: LotR is really fucking important)

Jumping Flailing Reverse Curl (aka Power Clean)
    95x3, 125x3, 145x3, 165x3, 185x3, 205x3, 135x3x2
Notes: I cannot adequately describe how bad these were today. I was slow as molasses, uncoordinated as Elaine Benes dancing, and as graceful as an Elephant on roller skates. And those were my good reps.
Oh dear. Hate it when that happens. And by "that" I mean when my body reverts to the spastic tendencies of a new born giraffe. Which makes no sense. BUT WHO CARES???

Also, Legolas was at the gym today. Sarah didn't notice.
What number was he on? 42?

The pointy eared elvish princeling claimed 42, but clearly that last one was mine. He was twitching "BECAUSE HE HAS MY AXE EMBEDDED IN HIS NERVOUS SYSTEM!!!"

The "Why the Chinese are on the podium" thread. I'd link it but I'm literally running out to a session now.

    Default Deload Continues

Due to my being so busy trying to pack all my business in before my trip the last few weeks, I realized there's a few things I need to get done and won't be able to train tomorrow afternoon, so I had to do all my lifts today. Good thing it's a de-load week and my left shoulder can't do anything, anyway. Sadly, this means I won't get to lift with Sarah tomorrow when she gets 235x5x3, but I know she'll do it.

    Squat
    350x3, 375x2, 405x1, 350x3
Notes: All felt really easy. Way better than Tuesday.

    Deadlift
    405x2, 455x1, 495x1
Notes: I planned on 405x2x2, but decided to touch reps a bit heavier. I've found it's harder to come back right away when I haven't touched anything heavy in a while, and I want to pull 515x5 on Monday. 495 was easy and fast, I think it'll be fine.

    Weighted Chins
    +27.5x5, +30x5x2
Notes: Mis-loaded the first one, oops. Officer La Rosa was watching to make sure my chin went OVER the bar. It did.

    DB Rows
    85x10, 100x10, 110x10
    Notes: No thang.

KB Clean + Push Press + Press
    20kg x 4, 24kg x 4, 32kg x 4 x 2, 40kg x 3
Notes: Did this with right side only. All were easy, but with 40kg, the handle was so thick that it was hard to keep a hold on it...

    And that was all, folks.
