Quick light day today. Kept bench even lighter than usual in anticipation of a PR bench attempt (and possibly that 225x5x5 press, if I have the gas for it), on Friday or Saturday. Though I pressed 3 PRs on Monday, none absolutely maxed me out and the total volume and tonnage was low. I don't feel that fatigued from them and 180 was OK today for being only two days later. So wanted to keep the possibility open for either Friday, or maybe taking one extra day off then going for them, and then taking next week a bit lighter.
In other news, my back may be showing small first signs of actually getting better (as opposed to "just less painful enough that I think maybe I can get away with squatting again, even though it'll still hurt, but maybe hurt at a low enough level that I can stand it"), as there have been parts of the last 3 days where I didn't notice it at all. Not consistently, as I definitely still noticed at at other times of the day, but this is basically the first time since it happened that there has been any time at all where I wasn't aware of any pain in my left lumbar area. Even though it was just for brief periods before it returned. So maybe.
