Thanks all, appreciate the moral support here.
Quick and dirty today. Or more accurately, quick and light.
Press
95x5, 135x5, 150x5x2
CGBP
135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 245x5x2
Pull-ups
BWx3x4
BB Rows
135x5, 185x5, 235x5, 265x5x3
RDLs
Same as rows except only two sets at 265
DB Curls
50x8x3
Bench Press - 4" belt
350x5 @9
Notes: Last rep pushed down/forward and got waaaay out of the groove, made it much harder. Annoyed by that but don't think it means my (now weekly) LP is close to over. Just a bad technical rep throwing the whole set off.
Press - 4" belt + wraps
200x5x5 @7-7.5
Notes: Easier than expected, solid.
Block Pulls, 6" - 4" belt
565x1 @7.5
600x1 @8.5
495x5x2 @7
Notes: Dmitry Klokov walked in while I was loading up for 565. I was feeling pretty good about working up to 600 today, and saw a guy who could do that for three sets of ten or twelve or something, and remembered my place in the universe.
Press Lockouts
135x5, 185x3, 225x3, 245x3x2, 265x nope
Notes: Not shockingly with my minuscule hip movement and layback, I wasn't very good at these but wanted to try them for the first time. Not very successfully. But it was enough work that I skipped LTEs.
Chins
+10x5, +20x5x5
C2 Erg
20/75 x6 - mostly in the 1:33-1:37 range, last one at 1:27. Moving up.
Then two rounds of 225m, with 1:30 rest between, at 1:50-1:55 pace.
Klokov really walked in? Cool. Did he snatch or clean and jerk at all?
Vasily Polovnikov, who was a multi-time Russian WL champion, recently moved to NYC and is doing some of his lifting and private 1-on-1 WL coaching at Solace during off peak hours. I saw him deadlift 800 there a few weeks back, and he does some ridiculously heavy stuff pretty often, cool to watch. Anyway, I believe he's friends with Klokov and brought him here while he's in town.
ETA: Looks like he posted the video of it: DMITRY KLOKOV 🇷🇺 @crosslifting on Instagram: “Рывок с медленной тягой - 143 kg, 152 kg
