I thought that was a decent looking set of 5, about what I would expect a heavy set of 5 to look like near the end.

    Strong work, dood.

Thanks guys. Ya, it wasn't bad, I think I could have been better set with my back on the 5th rep, maybe the 4th too.

Got a massage today - my third in the past week - and my erectors are finally calming down. I let them go for too long, I have to get massages more regularly and do more rumble roller and lacrosse ball work on them on my own. They were seriously jacked up.

This getting my erector massaged thing is something that might be interesting to look into.

Spent all afternoon carrying boxes and putting together the new equipment for our new women's S&C room at Stern College, where I'm the (very) (part time) S&C coach. I've been training several teams working with dumbbells, bodybars (seriously), and bodyweight for the past few years. We finally got a budget approval to spend some money, so we got racks, bars, plates etc from Rogue. Some pics attached. It's a very small room and full of mirrors, but it's still such an upgrade over what they had previously. Very exciting, but tired me out completely. Too bad I can't train myself or my clients there...IMG_20130410_172334_835.jpgIMG_20130410_161420_392.jpg

Not only had to train after all that, but it was 6pm so busiest time at the gym. It's amazing how Manhattan has a gym practically every block, but at 6pm, every single one of them is jam packed full of people.
Good thing it was recovery day.

    Squat
    45x5x2, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x5m 315x3
    Notes: None

    Weighted Chins
    +25 x 5,5,6
    BW x 10
Notes: Still only 2nd week back on weighted chins so didn't push it. First two sets felt easy, but by the third, only had enough for 1 extra rep. Probably would have been 8,7,5 had I pushed all three sets hard. Also only rested 2-3 mins.

    DB Bench Press
    35x10, 50x8, 65x8, 80x8, 95x8
Notes: Shoulder felt 100% fine, VERY encouraging. Weights were all easy, even though I got all the way up to Gillian territory, which is saying something! Had to wait 5-10 mins for a bench, all the bros were out in full force tonight.

Then had a quick Chipotle before late night coaching, just finished up at 10. Long ass day.

    Exactly.

My erector is constantly in need of massaging.

Thankfully I still have erectors at my age. And they are always hard.
    I mean over stimulated.
    Er, spasming.
