I may indeed be calling upon you for experiential advice, my friend.

Sorry to hear about it. I'm coming up with all sorts of interesting stories to explain the injury. Wolf as 007?

He was very mysterious as to the origin, now that you mention it.

He said it's not training related. Maybe it's exercise related aka Crossfit...

My bet is the injury happened during sex.

Wolf, I've had the labrum in my right shoulder repaired. I'll be glad to let you know how surgery/rehab went with me.

OK, OK, I'll tell the embarrassing short story. I took a step down onto an outdoor staircase; it was raining outside so I was being a little cautious but was completely unprepared for the fact that the stairs had absolutely no grip whatsoever and were slick as a banana peel in a cartoon. My feet flew out from under me literally as soon as I put any weight on the step down. I instinctively reached my right arm out for the rail to try to grab hold of something and stabilize myself, but the force of my reach combined with the extreme ROM and oblique angle that I reached at combined to tear things up in there. Labrum, bursa, and more. I was literally on the way to the airport to catch a flight so couldn't take care of it then, either.

Not a cool or sexy story at all.

    Squat - rehbands, belt
    Fives at: 365,385,405,405,365,345 (beltless)
Notes: A bit of fatigue built up from my past couple weeks of squatting, but not bad. These weren't my fastest but not slow either. Left patellar ligament was a little whiny but not awful.

    Press
    33x15,45x15, 65x15, 85x10, 100x8, 110x5, 115x5x2, 95x8, 65x12x2, 45x15
Notes: Top weight still a little uncomfortable but the weight at which that begins goes up every time the top weight goes up.

    Paused DL - beltless
    135x4, 225x3, 315x3, 365x3 - DOH
    405x3, 415x3 - straps
    365x3 - DOH
Notes: 415 didn't feel great but everything else was OK. Even though I'm still far from heavy for me, my back still doesn't feel great and the 485 set on Friday knocked it up a bit. Doesn't feel tweaked, just like something unidentifiable isn't quite on point.

Left Arm KB Press - beltless
    20x6, 24x6, 28x6, 32x6x3, 24x12

    C2 Erg
    250/1:30 x 4 @ 1:59, 1:51.6, 1:46.4, 1:51.8
    Then 2 mins rest and a 100m @ 1:33.
Arm isn't good for max effort pulling yet, but was nice to get down below the 1:30 mark on some strokes.

I wouldn't tell that story ever again.

Labrums are overrated, I never fixed mine.

My understanding is that the majority of labrum tears are from falls. I did not have labrum tear, but shoulder surgery was a great decision for me.
