Thanks for the BDay wishes and feel-gooder bro love. Both my shoulder and back and recovering nicely, but both also slowly. It's been 6.5 weeks for the shoulder and I still don't quite have the full pain-free ROM yet (though almost) and I'm only just now able to bench again; it's been 3.5 weeks for the back - my initial thought that it would be about a week was way off. I can only just now flex my hip without feeling enough pain to need to stop ASAP. I now feel only a very small discomfort, but it's still not close to 100%. It's all going slower than expected. But it's going in the right direction with no setbacks, so I will keep on plugging till I can make gains again. Hopefully things will heal soon enough for me to hit my goals for the year.

    Squats
    45x5x2, 135x5, 225x5, 285x5, 345x5, 405x5
Felt good to hit a relatively pain free 405x5 again. All in all I'm happy I can do 405x5 even while nursing an injured lower back that can't handle a full load. Big picture, this is good. Obviously frustrated that I can't push new gains yet but that will happen soon.

    Press
    45x5, 75x5, 105x5, 135x5, 165x5, 185x5
Shoulder continues to improve. 185 was hard, but not uncomfortable/painful as it was a couple weeks ago when I tried it for the first time since the injury.

    Deadlift
    135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 265x5, 305x5, 275x5

Went up to 305 and it was easier/felt better than 295 on Sunday.

    Chins
    4,4,4,4,4,4
Did these in between sets of DL and Bench, and one or two more at the end.

    Bench Press
45x10; 75x8 regular, 2 close grip; 105x8 regular, 2 close grip; 125x8x3 all regular grip.
Felt OK. Could still feel a tiny, painless twinge on some reps at the very bottom. Moving forward, slowly.

    C2 Erg Intervals: 30s row/90s rest x 4 @
    1:46, 1:45, 1:43, 1:52 pace/500m
Back didn't love these so didn't push very hard.

The injuries just mean that, for a short time, I'm stronger than you.

But only a little, with your back and shoulder injured, which means you are pretty strong. You'll get it all back and more.

You have done a great job being patient with your shoulder. Everyone should take note how it is done.

Any RPS meet plans for this year?
