What an armz day, dude. Did you tear out of your Star Wars shirt by the end?
Thanks Nik E! The force was strong in my shirt, and held the cotton molecules together.

Currently working on purging so that we can start with the proverbial tabula rasa. If I'm going to sacrifice my liver to science, I want to make Sully and the science committee proud.

May have over-reached today in my enthusiasm for being able to squat again. Think I'm ok and at worst, may have set myself back a few days. And maybe not even that. But I do need to remember I'm human and to take things slow.

    Squat
    45x5x2, 95x5, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x5, 315x5, 335x5
Notes: Plan was to go to 315. Of course I did that, felt easy and good, so I pushed to 335. They were easy and fast but something was slightly off for just one rep at 335 and my back has felt a bit tender since then. I don't think I re-injured it, but I do need to be more cautious going forward. I just got caught up in the moment, was excited about 315 being fine, and pushed my luck.

    Deadlift
    135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x5, 315x5
Notes: Squeezed up extra hard and finished these just fine. No issues from the back.

    Rack Pull
    405x2, 455x1, 495x1, 545x5
Notes: 580x5 would have been the weight I used if healthy, 545 isn't so far off that. I think my grip was a little uneven for the first two reps, but otherwise these were ok.

Going to ice now. Think it'll all be OK, but we shall see.

Don't forget the whisky. Or is it whiskey? Bourbon.

Thanks for the support, all. Doesn't look like I'll be cranking big lifts out in time to help on Nov 16th though.

My day-after triage assessment is that I set myself back about 7-10 days. It is definitely better than it was after I first did it, but not nearly as OK as it had gotten before yesterday. By the time I get better again, and really better this time without hurrying back too soon as I did this time, it'll be too close to the meet to do anything of consequence. It KILLS me to let the team down, but I won't be squatting and pulling PRs in only 5 weeks from now. I shouldn't have been so stupid an stubborn and tried to come back this quickly.

If Gene lets me switch, and it could still contribute to the team, I could do bench-only. Lame and weak-sauce as that is. I should be in line for a 400 bench, give or take.
