I know that parasite so well! What amazes me is that it's gone now. How does that work? !?!

    11/22/14 Sat
Feeling good, except for upper back soreness. Hip feels great.

    Comp squat:
    Work: 1x265 @8, 1x285 @9, 3x265 @9
Fatigues: 3x3x250 (one set to box)
Did better overall at staying in my hips. One inadvertent pause squat at 265. I was wiped out by the end of these.

    Comp bench:
    Work: 1x155 @8.5, 1x160 @9, 3x152.5 @10 (grind last rep)
    Fatigue: 3x145
Squats really carried over to bench today, not in a good way

    Press:
    Work: 2x5x85

GPP: Intervals, 10x, 20 min. total
    Prowler 55'x280(x2), 300(x2), 320(x6) 15-20s
    Rest 1:40
    Killer today

Here are my squats from today (including fatigues so that I can get some feedback from Jordan):

    11/23/14 Sun
Reverse band sumo DL: no belt, 1" bands
    Work: 3x365 @8.5, 2x0x385, got very angry, threw on belt 2x385 @10
    Fatigues: 3x3x350
Bands took off ~100lb at the bottom, very little at the top. Why am I failing off the floor with reverse bands?! Arg. Mad at myself for getting stuck on a number rather than gauging how I felt.

Feeling wiped here, just like after squats yesterday.

    CGB w/ chain:
    Work: 3x130 +30lb chain @9
    Fatigues: 3x3x120 +30lb chain

    Yoke bar squat: no belt
    Work: 3x5x190 @8, 8.5, 9

    GPP: 8 min amrap each
    Lat pull down: 5x10x90
Ab superset: 4x (hanging leg raise 8xbw and weighted plank 30s x 35lb)

Felt demolished afterward. I though it was high fatigue, but I bounced back after eating post workout. So I wonder if it's a low blood sugar thing? Not sure why that would've though.

I think we all get caught up on a number sometimes!

Way to push through your training despite feeling super fatigued.

Thanks Aleli! I don't know how to do anything different :-)

    11/25/14 Tues
Arrived a little late to the gym, had to keep moving

    Squat: no belt
    Work: 5x235 @9
    Fatigue: 5x225 @8.5
Stopped after one fatigue set because right hip and back started hurting. Better to be cautious after this summer/fall.

    2ct bench:
    Work: 5x140 @9
    Fatigue: 5x135 @9

    2 board bench:
    Work: 5x150 @9
    Fatigue: 2x5x142.5

Hip feels ok now, back still hurts. Aleve it is because I need to pull tomorrow due to the holiday.

    11/26/14 Weds
Trained mid-day, about 15 hours after finishing last night. I prioritized deadlifts and just went with it for the rest.

    Comp DL (sumo):
    Work: 1x290 @8.5, 1x300 @9, 1x305 @9.5, 2x295 @9
    Fatigues: 2x2x280
I am so slow off the floor it's almost funny.

    http://youtu.be/WqkKxinUES0

    TnG bench:
    Work: 3x5x135

    Barbell rows (from floor):
    Work: 3x5x115 (too light), 3x5x125

Now we're hunkered down, letting all the wintry nastiness get past us. Tomorrow, turkey and pie.

    Have a great holiday all!

Default Jenica's Strongwoman & PL Log

    11/29/14 Sat
What a weird training day. Gym was mobbed, all 8 racks occupied. Had to start in with the rotation on the monolift, with a squat bar. Struggled with bigger bar and not walking out. Out of practice.

    Comp squat:
    Work: 1x275 @8.5, 1x285 @9
A rack opened up, so moved, dropped down to get going again
    1x265 @7.5, 1x285 @8.5, 1x295 @10 (epically slow, matches no-wrap PR), 2x275 @9 (rep PR)
    Fatigues: 2x260 @9
    This all took FOREVER.

    Comp bench:
    Work: 1x155 @8.5, 1x160 @9, 1x165 @9.5 (matches PR), 2x155 @9 (rep PR)
    Fatigues: 3x3x147.5

    Press:
    Work: 2x5x87.5 @8,9

    GPP: intervals, 10x (20 min)
    Prowler 55'x250(x2), 270(x2), 290(x6) 15-20s
    Rest 1:40

Great bench and squat PRs, Jenica! I'm getting caught up on the logs, and it's great to see all the outstanding work you've got in, despite the tweaks and all. Hope you and David had a great holiday!
