Why thanks y'all! It's been a long time coming so I was pleased

    5/10
    Squat
    Work sets 175x5x3
On the first three reps of the last set my left leg was taking a lot more load than the right, which was super weird. I guess there's still a discrepancy between my legs. Or else maybe the right leg doesn't fire quite as well.

Played with our new farmers handles! I loaded 70 on each bar, which we guess weigh around 15 or 20 each. Did some short walks interspersed with sledghammer swings and one legged squats to a box and pushups. Basically dicked around.

    5/11
    Prowler day, 50 yards
    2xempty
    2x plus 50
    4x plus 100
    2x plus 120
got in 4 sets of 3 chins.

    5/12
    Squat
    Work sets 177.5x5x3

Moderately paced Grace (30 C&J for time) at 75lbs 5:07

Barbell rows with landmine and some rotational ab stuff

    5/15
    Squat
    Worksets 180x5x3
I mean, I am really stoked. These are damn hard, but the bar speed is good. In the past, whenever I got to heavy loads the squats would always get sticky. I am shocked that the speed is still good, though I need to take several breaths between each rep.

    Bench
    Rep out 105x8; 110x1;120x1
Trying 5/3/1 for powerlifting since I am frustrated by the slow progress on my pressing movements and need a change. Was not supposed to rep out, oops. But it was a PR for reps, so I'm ok with it

    DL
    Work set 205x5
Still double overhand on this, no hook.

Lots of catching up to do. It's been a hectic week with some family stuff, but I've managed to continue lifting amidst it all.

    5/16
2000m row in 9:29. 1000m warm up and cool down
Attempted to do the following: 1000m @ 24SPM, 500m @ 26SPM, 250m @ 28SPM; 250m @ 30SPM. Was mildly successful, though it was hard for me to hold consistent pacing because I am more accustomed to holding split times, rather than SPM. Despite the crappy time, this was damn hard. But that's because rowing sucks my will to live.

    5/17
    Squat
    Work sets 182.5x5x3
    Fast

    Push Press
Worked triples up to 95, then 105 for two and failed on the third after I crunched my back a bit on the second rep.

    Conditioning
    5 rnds of:
    14 DB snatch, 7 L and R with 25#
    50 yard run
    4:37
First time I've incorporated any kind of run into a conditioning. I was moving like molasses.

    5/19
    Squat
    Work Sets 185x5x3
Once upon a time, I could do a top set of 3 at 185.

    Press
    Work Set 75x3; 80x1; 85x1
    Easy

    5/21
    Squat
    Work sets 190x5x3
Holy hell. I am training at a gym in in Philly that does not have fractionals so I was forced to man up and make a 5 pound jump. I did it by the skin of my teeth. This was hard. Last two reps were pretty ugly, but goddamnit, this was my 1RM in December.

    Bench
    Rep out: 100x10 PR

Was supposed to DL today but I was caked from squatting so I'll move it to Thursday.

My weight is 145. Somehow my body misunderstood the note to LOSE weight and is instead gaining. Once linear is done (which it pretty much is), I'll see if I can get it to listen more carefully.

It is amazing that it is only a little over two months since you started your "rehab". And you are repping your squat 1RM from 6 months ago and benched 125. That is great Margie!

    Hey Margie,
Missed you at the gym today.
Which gym in Philly did you lift?

Congrats on the huge 5RM-- wow. And you did it for 3 sets? Double wow.

Thanks guys. I am really stoked. It is interesting that I've had such a significant weight gain in that time period, which absolutely must be helping. I guess my body wants to grow right now.

Rob I'm at CF 215. I know Micah, the owner, from various CF events over the years so he's been kind enough to let me train in the corner. It's nice to be out of my element, but I look forward to coming back to our gym with all our toys. And fractionals.

    5/23
    Squats
    Recovery of 135x3x4

    DL
Intended to do a workset of 215x5, but I pulled 2 and that was it. I was pretty caked today in general

    5/25
    Prowler, 50 yards
    2x empty
    2x 50#
    4x 80#
Again, still tired. It was rough week at home and this marked the end of it all.

    5/26
    Squats
    Work sets 192.5x5x3
Felt great! Hard as hell, but great nonetheless.

    Conditioning
    5 rnds of:
    2 DL @ 195
3 handstand pushups (head to two abmats)
    4 pullups
    5 burpees
    took me 6:02

    5/29

    Squats
    Work set 200x4; 140x10
I was intending to do 195x5x3 with the thought that this would end my linear, even if I got all sets. It's been about 10 weeks and, frankly, I'm ready to change things up. I may have been able to squeak out another couple of sessions, but I am ready to stop. Anyway, my boyfriend misunderstood and thought I was going to do one set at 195. Based on that, we decided I should just go for 200. I'll take the 4.

    Bench
    Work sets: 85x5; 100x3; 110x1x2; 125x1[I]
    125 was slow.

    DL
    Work set 215x5
I used switch grip and a belt, which I generally try not to do on DL. But it sure does help.

Going forward, my plan is to do some active recovery and a little conditioning for the rest of the week and then test Squat, Press and DL on Saturday. After that, I am going to go back to Jim Steel's Train Like An Athlete 1 & 2; each is a 3 week training block which I did last summer and really enjoyed. I can't wait to sprint again!

    6/2

    1RM Test

    Squat
    215x1
This was a grind. Might very well have had 220, but I was happy to take the success.

    Press
    93x1
    Finally broke 90!

    DL
    235x1; 250F
Likely had something on par with my previous 1 RM of 242. No 250 today, but I'm ok with that.

All in all, a successful reset.
