Maybe we could start an "Adopt a weightlifter" program.

You can adopt me too. After all, sharing is caring, right?

Gotta love those nuggets of wisdom from Barney!

Next time you're in NYC, you're officially invited over for a BBQ.

    Skill work wednesday.

WOrked the start position from the floor to the knees and held on the third rep.

THen snatches up to 135 lbs focusing on the start

snatch grip RDL's at 135 5x5 hold fifth rep for a 5 count. Trying to keep shoulders back and down the whole time. Right is noticably weaker.

To finish, I tried sots presses. With the bar. I failed. Rachel had me do jerk grip Overhead squats with the bar. It was fucking rough. 5x5 and 3 presses at the bottom on the last rep. Side note, Rachel was doing the jerk grip overheads with 65 kilos. After hurting her back. 18 months out of training. As a 69 kilo female lifter. I will eventually get my balls back.

Dude, I feel you on the Sots Press. I think my PR is something like 50kg for a triple with atrocious form. This is with a press of around 100kg and a power snatch of around the same. Working those positions just isn't sexy at all and dammit I won't do it. It's definitely worth it though so kudos for sticking with it!

More Sots press 55 lbs this time. 5x5. 1 rep is jerk grip overhead, 1 sots press, stand back up. They felt easier today.

    Press, 105,125, 140 x5.
    Bench 165 x3x9
chin ups 2 sets of 5
