Good day today. Presses felt very solid on my top set with 210. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

    3/24

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 355x1, 395x1, 430x3
    P. Clean - 135x3, 185x3, 225x2, 240x3x5

Trained in the morning yesterday and then went to see Shelley and Nick compete at a local Oly meet. Got there around noon expecting that Shelley would be starting her session with Nick getting underway around 2pm or so. Well, Shelley didn't compete until around 3 or 4, and Nick didn't take his first attempt until around 9pm. It was a long day, but awesome to see both Nick and Shelley do so well. I am sure both of them will post about there performance. The best part of the day for me was seeing the other coaches faces when Nick opened second to last in his flight on the snatch and he powered 115. Overall it was a great experience. Congratulations to Shelley and Nick on their great lifting, and Josh for successfully guiding them through a long day.

Rori, thanks but even though I was mentally exhausted, nick and Shelley were and still are way more dead than I am.

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 365x1, 390x5x3
    Deadlift - 135x3, 185x3, 225x3 (all p. cleaned), 315x3, 365x2, 405x1, 455x1, 495x3

Today was a tough one. Squats wiped me out, my legs felt like jell-o for my deadlifts. Deadlifts were an absolute grind today. I am posting a video of my set of 495, it is pretty ugly. Hopefully 500 looks a little better next week!

Here is the video of my deadlift:

Thanks Oldster. I felt the effects afterwards, I was wiped out all day after that training session.

    3/30

    Press - 45x5x2, 95x5, 135x3, 155x2, 185x1, 212.5x3, 165x7, 6
    Chins - BWx13, 11, 10

Sub-par workout tonight. The last few days have been tough. I had a death in my family on Thursday and could not train yesterday due to work and then having to attend the wake all afternoon and evening. I had the funeral this morning and then spent some time with the family. On top of that I have been a little under the weather the last few days. Nothing serious just headache, congestion, sore throat, that sort of thing. By the time I got to the gym today it was less than an hour until close and had to hustle a little. Presses were okay. I will post a video of my final set. You can see the bar path is a little out in front and on the third rep I used a good amount of lay-back but I will take it given the circumstances. I was supposed to do weighted chins but forgot my belt so decided on just BW chins which did not go great. Similarly, my back-off sets of presses were a little rushed and on the crappy side. Anyway, enough whining. Below is a video of my final set of presses with 212.5x3. I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!
