Thanks, guys. Rori went 9/9, PRd her bench and total, and came in first place in her weight class in her full meet. She also took part in a bench only invitational which was later in the day on Saturday. She went 2/3. She missed on her third trying to hit her second bench PR in about a 3 hour period. I was really proud of how well she handled the environment and competing twice in the same day.

It was also great to see so many unbelievably strong people all competing under the same roof. We also got to hang out with a bunch of the TSA and RTS guys. The highlight of my weekend was getting to go out to dinner on Saturday night with the RTS team. I ate the biggest burger I have ever had in my life (6 patties), fries, and a shake. Mike T was impressed, Rori was disgusted. I figured if I can't actually be a good lifter, I might as well try to eat like one.

    3/5 & 3/6

    Airdyne Intervals

    3/7

    Bench - 45x20, 95x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 265x1, 295x1, 315x1, 335x1, 355x1, 320x3x3
    Chins - BWx8x5

Pretty good training session. Happy with my bench.

Congrats to Rori and you John. Sounds like a cool experience. Did you see any ridiculously big lifts in person?

Thanks, everyone. It was a very cool weekend.

    3/8

    Airdyne Intervals

    3/9

    F. Squat - 45x10, 95x5, 135x3, 185x2, 225x2, 275x1, 315x1, 345x1, 365x1, 395x1, 295x6x3
    Deadlift - 135x5, 225x3, 315x2, 405x1, 435x6x5

Pretty good training session. Inching closer to a 405 front squat which would be cool. The sets of six felt light, but it was tough to maintain a good rack position for that many reps. Deadlifts were not too bad.

    3/10

    Press - 45x10x2, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 190x6x5
    Chins - BWx8x5

Pretty good session. My upper back was fried from the front squats on Thursday. Got to train with Wolf and Rori which was fun. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

    3/12

    Airdyne Intervals

    3/13

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 185x3, 225x3, 275x2, 315x2, 365x1, 395x6x5
    SGDL - 135x5, 225x3, 315x1, 375x6x3

Pretty good session. Squats felt good. Gripped the bar outside of the score for the SGDL, which is not really a true snatch grip for me, but I think it is wide enough to get what I am trying to get out of the exercise without destroying my man parts.

    3/14

    Airdyne Intervals

So I have been doing a fair amount of conditioning on the airdyne the last few months mostly because I have it in my apartment and it is easy to jump on for a quick interval workout while I am watching TV or something. Yesterday, I went to get a physical done and my doctor did an EKG and my resting HR was 49 bpm. Not bad for a 245 pound fluff ball such as myself. I guess the conditioning is doing something.
