Always good to get a training session in with you, Dwayne. We will do it again soon!

    12/2

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 380x5x5
    Chins - BWx10, 8, 6

Had to change my schedule this week because Wolf and I are going to Dallas with Nick for the American Open. This was a day earlier than it was supposed to be, but squats moved well. My lats were really sore from halting deadlifts on Saturday. I really felt it on the chins.

Nice pulls Saturday, sorry I missed that… Hope you had a good birthday man.

You are doing 425 for your intensity day this week?

Thanks, Rob. My birthday was great. I was very happy to spend it lifting with friends. I am glad that you and your wife made it back out for dinner. As far as my ID goes, the plan is to rotate each week between a top set of 5, 3, and 1, so this week for the squat, I will be aiming for a 450 triple. I hope it goes well!

Yea, dinner was fun. Too bad about drinks afterwards though!
How are you figuring out the jumps from the 5's to triple to singles?

HA! Thanks, sking. It was a good time. If you are ever up this way, let us know. It is always good to get to meet and train with other SS lifters.

For this first time through, I am loosely basing the weights as percentages of my recent meet PRs. After I get a baseline from this first wave, I will ditch the percentages and just add 5-10 pounds each time through the cycle.

    12/4

    Deadstop Rack Bench - 45x10x2, 135x1, 185x1, 225x1, 245x1, 265x1, 275x1, 285x1, 295x1x5
    Press - 45x5, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 192x5

Good training day. I really liked the rack bench presses. This was my first time doing them and I think they are going to help a lot.

I hope so, Dwayne. Flight is scheduled for 6:30am. Nick was delayed about five hours today, and Wolf's flight was cancelled altogether and re-scheduled for tomorrow. Apparently the weather is not so great in Dallas at the moment.

    12/5

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 365x2, 405x1, 445x3
    Deadlift - 225x3, 315x3, 405x2, 455x1, 495x1, 545x3
    RDLs - 315x8x2

Pretty solid training day. I was very happy with how my squats felt. Deadlifts were a little off. 545 was more of a struggle than I was expecting, but I suspect that this is because this session was done a full two days earlier than I usually would do it on a normal week.

Here are some videos of my top sets:

Looking forward to getting to Dallas to watch Nick crush it at the AO. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
