    Squat - 45x5x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 345x1, 390x5x3
    Press - 45x5, 95x5, 125x3, 155x1, 177.5x5, 5, 4
    Deadlift - 225x5, 295x3, 335x2, 395x1, 440x5

Okay workout. Really had to push hard on my squats but overall they felt better than 385 did on Tuesday. I am not happy that I missed my last rep of presses for the second straight workout. I was wiped out after the squats and should have rested longer before starting the presses because I was gassed by my third set. Next week I am pressing after my light squats and I am confident I will get this weight and get moving in the right direction again. I took a ten pound jump on the deadlift to make up for missing on my press and because 430 felt really good last week. No problems with the 440, my lower back is feeling better than it has in a long time.

I hope everyone has a great weekend,

    JP

Thanks buddy. Today was not a good day but hopefully it is only a minor setback.

    Tues 12/18

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 345x1, 395x5, 5, 4
    Bench - 45x5x2, 135x5, 165x3, 195x2, 225x1, 262.5x5, 5, 4
    Chins - BWx5, BW+40x5x3

My first set of squats felt tough but really good. My second set also felt okay, just ran out of gas on the last set. My last set of bench was ruined by an overzealous spotter, grabbed the bar as soon as I hit a sticking point. Not happy about that. I need to get some more sleep and food.

    Thurs 12/20

    Light Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x5x2
    Press - 45x5x2, 95x5, 125x3, 155x1, 177.5x5x3
    P. Clean - 45x3, 95x3, 135x3, 185x2, 205x1, 225x3x5

Good day today. Squats and cleans felt light and fast and the presses gave me no trouble at all. Pressing on a light squat day makes a big difference.

    Sat 12/22

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 365x1, 405x5x3
    Bench - 45x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x1, 265x5, 4, 4
    Chins - BWx13, 9, 9

Trained with Nick today. I missed my last rep of squats at my last workout and the thought of having to do two more heavy squat workouts at 395 again and then 400 was enough motivation to make man up and get 405. Really happy with this. I missed a couple of reps on the bench. Missing reps on my pressing movements is now becoming a pattern on heavy squat days. I am planning on taking a few extra rest days over the holidays to see if I can eek out some more on this LP before moving on.

Here are the videos of my squat sets:

Any critiques are welcome. Also, here is a video of my girlfriend's last set of deadlifts:

I hope everyone has a great weekend,

Good day today. Squats felt light and fast, presses felt very solid, and I took a ten pound jump on deadlifts again.

Here is a video of my last set of deadlifts:

    Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x2, 365x1, 415x4, 3
    Bench - 45x5, 135x5, 185x3, 205x2, 225x1, 265x5, 5, 4
    Chins - BWx5, BW+42.5x5, BW+42.5x4, BWx8

Really disappointing day today. The frustrating thing is that it was brought about by my own stupidity. Last Saturday I hit 405x5x3 on my squats and for some reason thought that taking a ten pound jump would be a good idea. It was not. My first three reps on my first set felt good, then hit a wall on the fourth. Nick convinced me to just hit a triple on my next set and call it a day. After that, I really just didn't have any focus for the rest of the workout. Missed my last rep on my last set of bench again. Then to top it off my chins just sucked horribly. A few weeks ago I reached out to Andy Baker to help me with my intermediate programming and he set me up with what I think is a great routine for me. Next week I will take a light day on the squat in the middle of the week, go heavy again on my presses and cleans and transition into his program the following week. I am hopeful that doing this will keep my numbers heading in the right direction.

I hope everyone has a great weekend,

    JP

Tough day with the squats bro. I'm sure you'll hit 410 x5x3 easy next week. I feel like I hit a chin PR once every 3 weeks now a days to keep my DOMS and just overall upper back fatigue in check. I think it's my teres major, but when I go real hard on my chins, I can be sore for a week; right in that posterior humeral insertion. How often do you go for a PR on them? Keep killing the LP! You and Nick are animals with your LP's. I'm coming for you guys though - lol. We gotta train together soon.

    Weds 1/2

    Light Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3, 325x5x2
    Press - 45x5, 95x5, 125x3, 155x1, 182.5x5x3
    P. Clean - 135x3, 185x2, 205x1, 230x3x5

Wiped out tonight. Everything felt a little heavier than I would have liked but I made all my reps on the press and power clean without too much difficulty.
