You are a wise man, RobIs.

I'm curious to how the front squat cue is effective for you. I don't see them in your programming. So I don't see how that would click for you.

Thanks for being the man though. Great friend.

Okay weekend of training. 515 went well on Friday. I left a rep or two in the tank. I am trying not to gas myself on my deadlifts like I did last cycle and make up for it with some extra volume on my back-off sets. We will see how it goes. Bench felt very easy again.
    Volume is good : )

His knees don't move at all when he squats. Essentially, his tibia stays vertical. When we trained with Josh and Shelley before they moved to NC they made the same observation. There is more knee motion/ less hip drive in the FS so it's an over correction to try and get him to do the right thing.

Yeah I know what the point of saying Fsq as a cue is. But that's more of an idea than an action. It's telling him what they would like to see more of at a macro level. But I think him being as strong as he is would benefit more from an actual low level tactile and/or action cue. Something that will make him get more knees forward. Maybe a Tubow. Maybe a slight variation in gaze direction. I'm not saying their observation is incorrect. I'm just saying there could be a more effective cue to make him move closer to better movement pattern with less thought.

I could understand how thinking front squat could kinda mess someone up when they back are back squatting. But say he changed his gaze a foot or two further away, by definition, this should bring knees a lil more forward all while maintaining the mindset of " I'm doing LBBS".

I dunno. Just thinking out loud in the interspace.

Pretty good couple of sessions. Squats still not feeling great, but deadlifts went well. Really working on squeezing the bar off the floor. Bench felt good.

Okay session, a little on the tired side. Form held up well on the press, but I would have liked to have gotten more reps on my back-off sets.
