You are a lucky man to have Rori train. At some point in the near future my wife is going to deadlift double her bodyweight, and we are going to have a party. It's good to be a lifting family.
Thanks, Karl. Rori was actually a triathlete when we met, but in our first conversation she asked me if I could help her get strong. She wanted to deadlift 300 pounds. The first time we ever spent any time together was at her gym (a Planet Fitness!), she pulled 135 for a set of five her first day.

    Gonna miss you Doc!
I am really sorry I couldn't be there, Dwayne. Seems like everyone had a great time.

    12/16

    Squat - 45x20, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 385x2, 425x1, 470x2, 445x3, 420x5
    Bench - 45x20, 135x5, 185x3, 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 335x2 (paused), 320x4, 305x5
    P. Clean - 135x3, 185x2, 225x1, 245x1x10

Pretty good training day. Squats and benched both moved pretty well.

I don't know what's more impressive - the kind of numbers Rori has been putting up since then or the fact that you two managed to deadlift at Planet Fitness and lived to tell the tale! :O

    Thanks, Guys.

    Squat - 45x15x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 370x5, 395x5x2
    Press - 45x5, 95x5, 135x3, 185x1, 225x2, 215x3, 205x4

Good session. Presses and pulls both felt really good.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

You forgot to wish us a good weekend. I don't know if I'm allowed to have a good weekend now.

Nice lifting Dr. P. I can only imagine how bad-ass pressed 2 plates feels.

I fixed it for you, Adam. My apologies.

2-plate press for a double? Damm.

So you are descending and adding reps on the way down regularly now?

    Did you register?

    Have a great weekend...

It was a good weekend. Thanks, Rob. I did register for the Brooklyn meet, and I am not really over-thinking the back-off sets. Basically just taking 5% drops for squats and presses, and a 10% drop on pulls.

    12/22

    Squat - 45x15x2, 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 335x2, 395x8, 375x8, 355x8
    Bench - 45x15, 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 275x1, 300x8, 285x6, 270x7
    P. Clean - 135x3, 185x2, 230x3x5

Pretty good session. Three sets of 8 on the squat gassed me, but 300x8 is a PR on the bench.
