I live in alabama, so that might be the problem haha
I looked in the directory and found that Justin Scarsella is the only coach in alabama
Thanks, Kooline. Where do you live? I am sure you can find some like-minded lifters in your area. We are lucky to be in NY and to have so many of us all in the same area.

Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 360x5x5
Chins - BWx10, 10, 9
Good training session. Squats felt very light and easy.

Nice work John. 360x5x5 now light and easy - wasn't THAT long ago it was real volume day work for you. Also +1 on damn globo gym bars being a pain to pull with. I'm still fairly light with my rehab, but since I had to take my bar out for my clients to train with, pulling with the crappy gym bar has been rough.
Kooline - though it may seem like we have this utopia in NY, it has taken us years to build this community up. Until recently, there was a group together at Crossfit South Brooklyn and some at Paulie's place at SBWC, and other than that it was just one person here and one there in isolated places across the city. Only in the last 9 months or so have we gotten enough numbers and cohesiveness to have built what we can now call a great lifting community here. Not all of us can lift together all the time, and some can do so more often than others, but it's taken a long time, and effort by a lot of people to make it happen. Maybe you can be the catalyst of that in Alabama.
Thanks, Wolf. Yea pulling with crappy bars is a pain. Next time I pull heavy there, I may have to suck it up and use a mixed grip just to make sure the bar doesn't roll around in my hand so much.Nice work John. 360x5x5 now light and easy - wasn't THAT long ago it was real volume day work for you. Rack Bench - 45x10x2, 135x3, 185x3, 225x2, 275x1, 300x1x5
Press - 45x5, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 197x4
Trained in the morning today which is very unusual for me. The bench from the bottom position in the rack went well, but my press was kind of crappy. The four reps were solid, but a fifth would have been ugly. I will keep pushing the weight up on these and try and hit a PR triple in a few weeks.
Do I know you? RoriMegan? Hmmm.....Oh, wait. I think I remember you from the seminar. I guess I made quite an impression!
(full disclosure, Rori is actually my girlfriend of several years, and yes, I will get in trouble for that reply)

Squat - 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 375x2, 425x5
Deadlift - 155x3, 245x2 (all p. cleaned), 335x2, 425x1, 475x1, 520x5
Deficit Deads - 425x5x2
Good training session. 425x5 is not an all-time PR for a set of five on the squat, but it has been a really, really long time since I have done this. I was supposed to do 515x5 on the deadlift which would have tied my best set of five, but D'Agostino told me to put the extra five pounds on the bar to get a PR set of five so I did. Thanks, Nick. Also, deficit deadlifts suck, but I think they will help in the long run.
Here are the videos of my squat and deadlift:
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
The Petrizzo wiggle triumphs again!
Way to dig through some hard reps.
