    Friday 2/22

    Squat: 365x5, 405x3, 455x3
    One-Leg Squat: 3x20
    Hanging Leg Raise: 3x5

And that's the end of this training cycle. I have a tournament coming up in three weeks, so I don't think I'm going to lift until that's over.

OK, I'm back. I mostly got killed at my tournament, which is more or less to be expected from my first time fighting as a blue belt, although I am by no means pleased about it. Out of seven fights, I only won two. Losing sucks, especially when it involves 300-pound men crushing your chest while trying to break your arms. Not to worry, I will do more crushing than being crushed in the future.

As for lifting, I'm not going to do the USAPL meet in April because money is tight. I have no concrete strength goals right now, so I am just going to lift with relatively high volume and work a lot on conditioning and making my various minor injuries go away.

    Monday 3/18
    Press: 145x5, 165x5, 190x5, 165x5, 155x5, 145x5, 135x5, 125x5
    BTN Press: 115x5, 4, 3
    Chinups: 10, 8, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Decline Situps: 3 or 4 sets of 20

And then I ran around the indoor track, jogging the curves and sprinting the straights. I did 6 or 7 laps of these.

    Tuesday 3/19

I read Mary Gallagher's article on progressive pulls and decided to give it a try on my deadlift days. Turns out to be fun.

    Power Clean: 215x5, 245x5, 275x5
    High Pull: 295x5, 315x5
    Deadlift: 340x5, 390x5, 445x5
    Straight-Leg DL: 315x5, 285x5
    Rows: 225x5, 205x5
    Pullups: 3x5

And then I was going to run around the track again, but it was full, so I rowed on a C2 rower for 10 minutes instead.

Wasn't supposed to go in today, but I did anyway and did 20x4 pullups.
