Today was a good lift. Woke up with a head cold/post nasal drip kinda thing but it didn't seem to affect the workout, just annoying. Lifted with JP again and that definitely made a difference. We pushed each other through the workout and got shit done.

    Sat 11/24
    Squats 45x10, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 365x2, 430x5x3
Felt just as hard as 425. Lost thoracic ext. on last rep of last set at the top. I notice as I fatigue I get in to my heels instead of mid foot and it makes a sticking point about half way up. This only happened on rep 5 of last 2 sets.
    Press 45x8, 95x5, 125x5, 155x3, 175x2, 197.5x5x3
First time using the 1.25 pound plates for anything. These sets were much better than mondays 195.
    Deadlift (power clean warmup first 2 sets) 155x2, 263x1, 352x1, 407x1, 478.5x5
    Used Kilo's.

One movement I never perform are cleans, for a few different reasons and don't pay much attention to them.

But man Nick, your clean just jumped out at me! Very very nice work that you perform.

Thanks Oldster but some the clean credit has to go to Rip. I took the seminar in september and when adjusted my pulling mechanics to fit the model I hit a 20 kilo PR and since then it seems to keep going up.

Nice work Nick! How long have you been training (training history), and what weights did you start at for the big 4? Keep up the great work!

I started training when I was 16 years old. When I started I could bench 85lbs for 5 and squat about the same for 5. Through out high school and most of college I did the classic bodybuilding template (a muscle group a day) until I read Rips books and started strength training. Just as a side note I've competed 4 times in natural bodybuilding competitions and probably never will again. Through out that whole time I never did a linear progression. I don't think after high school i was ever causing enough stress to produce an adaptation. I always assumed I was intermediate or advanced and was wrong. I tried a ton of programs but through out college made very little progress. After the seminar in Sept, where I finally learned how to lift correctly, I decided to LP and have made a ton of progress in very little time. Also gained about 8 pounds.

    Very pissed!

    11/27
    Squat
    45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 365x2, 405x1, 435x5x3
    Bench 45x10, 135x5, 165x5, 195x3, 225x2, 255x1, 285x5,5,3
1st degree strain left pec. No grinding, weight felt light in hands and bar speed was good. I racked it myself. It just happened out of no where. About 3 years ago I had a severe 2nd degree strain with a moderate tear in the same pec doing speed bench with like 60% of 1RM for triples. I definitely had more in the tank for LP and this just pisses me off. It didn't hurt doing cleans so I kept going.
    Power Cleans 135x3, 185x2, 235x1, 285x3,3,3,2
Again weight felt light, plenty in the tank. On the fourth set one of the plates started sliding down the bar so after the second rep I went to go pull it in and felt a sharp pain in the left pec and decided to stop.

Extremely angry. This was the most recovered I felt and the lightest the squats felt and something tweaks.

Sorry to hear about that. Rest up, heal, and come back with a vengeance!

That really sucks man. Hope it heals up quickly and you can get back to lifting soon.

This sucks. How long did the 2nd Degree take to heal? How long do you expect this to take? Are you planning on using the Starr Rehab protocol?
