115 kilos is some serious shit. I checked the USAW site a while back and found that the national meet qualifying total in 2012 for 105+ was only 290. You should make a run at it, dude.
Agreed. Congrats on the PRs buddy.

Guys I had a great workout today and everything felt good.

    12/18
Squats 45x10x2, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 405x2, 450x5x3 Last rep of last set was hard but overall better then 445.
    Press 45x8, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 185x1, 200x5x3 These felt great and didn't bother the pec at all.
Deadlift 135x5, 225x3, 315x2, 405x1, 490x5 This was way better then last week. Grip felt very strong and still have some gas for progression.

I think last week I might have been fighting something off because this is the best I've felt in a while lifting.

These weights at these reps and sets are hard to comprehend.

    Incredible.

Today was brutal and it was the back off day. My body felt so shitty from Tuesday I could barely accomplish anything.

    12/20
Squats 45x10x3, 135x5, 185x5, 225x3, 275x1... and I stopped there. I was fried and my legs just didn't want to move
    Bench 45x25, 135x8, 165x5, 195x3, 225x2, 245x5, 250x5, 255x5 Pec felt great

Went home took a bath and passed out. Did a mini circuit later between clients later.

    Chin up 10,10,8
Squat 45x15x3 by the third set the legs started to feel better
    Push up 20x3

I'm just gonna eat a shit ton of food and mentally prepare myself for a brutal Saturday with John.

    Power Snatch 60x3, 90x2, 100x1, 110x1 PR, 115x1 PR, 100x1x3
    Power Clean and Jerk 70x3, 110x3, 130x1, 141x1
    Weighted Chins 45x5x3

This is the first time I ever broke a 250 total between the 2 lifts and I did it using the power variations. Josh and Shelly are amazing coaches and I can't wait to work with them again. Every set was kind of like a bunch of singles in the workout because Josh was coaching me in between each rep. The Power Snatch PR is a 15 kilo PR from my previous best and I finally felt what the jerk is supposed to feel like. There is a mind blowing difference in power when you actually generate it using your shoulder to drive the bar up instead of just your triceps.
Sir, I seriously have to doubt your integrity regarding this post. Everyone knows that you have to practice the olympic lifts very regularly to improve upon them, especially the snatch. Just getting stronger does not cut it. You must have secretly practiced the powersnatch to achieve that 15 kg PR. Admit it!

    ^ I laughed.

Seriously impressive stuff Nick. You're only 4kg short total needed to qualify for Canadian Nationals as a 105, pretty damn impressive. I have no idea what the American qualifications are, but I can't imagine you're that far off.

Nice lifting Nick. Your numbers on the Oly lifts do look sick, especially for not having done them in a while.

Awesome lifting Nick. I have had the same experience on my oly lifts. I hit big Pr's after not training the lifts at all due to being stronger. I think it's great that you got the opportunity to work with Josh and Shelley.
