That would be fine if he actually posted more often. There was only a 3 month hiatus in there recently....

Nice work Nick. If you don't mind me saying, I think you need to slow down your walk-out and remove one step.

Nick, congrats. John Petrizzo told me about your lifts. You totaled more than 1600 pounds, great job! It seems to me you have recovered from your back injury. I am glad for your success. Also, congrats on one of your clients making the Newsday article on geezer power lifting.

Thanks Peter, I really appreciate it.

Just wanted to give everyone an American Open update. I completely crushed the meet. I weighed in at 119 kilos and went 9/9, hitting all my top end numbers. The attempts are below.

    Squat: 245, 260, 275 (606) PR
    Bench: 155, 162.5, 167.5 (369) PR
    Deadlift: 270, 290, 310 (683) PR

Totaled 1658 and sneaked on the podium placing third in the class. The 683 deadlift gave the NY team a 1 point lead over NJ, winning us best team at the meet. I had an amazing time and have videos to post soon.

Since Nick bothered up to update his log, I'll bother to post a video I recorded of his 3rd squat attempt. 5 reds on each side plus bar and collars tells me this is 275 kilos.

    So many red plates...

Nick had a well executer and amazing meet.

Congrats on the meet. Those are all beast mode numbers. You buried the hell out of that squat and made it look easy.

    Hey guys,

I think it's finally time of me to return to forum after this past hiatus. As some of you know, I recently competed and qualified for USAW's nationals. The next 2.5 weeks I'm going to take it easier on the oly stuff and let my quad tendonitis in my left knee calm down. The most recent meet went as follows:

    Snatch: 132x, 132x, 137
    Clean and Jerk: 160, 170, 178 PR
Total: 315 (15 kilo meet PR)

This past weeks has gone as follows:

    5/19
    Press: 180x3, 210x3@7, 235x5@9, 260x1@9, 180x5x3@7-8 (No wraps/belt on backoffs)
Accessory: lat pull downs, pec deck, chins, db curls x 5-12 reps x 3-4 sets

    5/21
    Power Clean/ Power Jerk: 130x1x3
    Deadlifts: 440x3, 500x3@8, 560x3@9, 440x5x2@8 (beltless/straps on backoffs)

    5/23
    Bench: 235x3, 270x3@7, 300x5@9, 315x3@8, 335x1@9, 235x8x3@8 (last rep of each set paused)
    Chins: 4 sets of 6
Accessory: Lying Tri Ext., BB curls x 5-10 reps x 3-4 sets

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!
