    6/26
    Front Squat
    385x1@8
    425x1@9

    Snatch
    50x3x2
    70x2
    90x1
    100x1
    110x1
120x1F Got caught in a talkers line of fire here. There was like a 10 min rest between 110 and 120 and I just got cold.
    120x1
    125x1
    130x1

    Deadlift
    445x3@7
    510x3@8
    570x4@9

notes: Overall real happy at how this first week of nationals prep closed out. Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to muster up the mental intensity needed to hit that top deadlift set but just said fuck it and got it done. Left knee and right shoulder are a little pissed off but next session is not until Tuesday so I'm not too worried. That should be enough time for any nagging pain to clear up.

    6/30
    Squat
    355x5@7 beltless
    405x5@7.5
455x6@9 this felt much harder then I thought it was going to
    495x1@8
    535x1@8.5 this was smoked
555x1@9 this also moved pretty fast. Rori took a video that I'll upload later

    Clean and Jerk
    70x2x2
    110x2
    130x1
    150x1
    160x1
165x1 have a video here I'll upload later.
170x1 this was tough. Couldn't tell if I pressed out on the right or just caught the jerk crooked
    160x1 solid rep

    Beltless Squats
    355x5x3@8 this was exhausting

    Chins

notes: I met Mike O'hearn in the gym today which was pretty cool. Snatches just felt off and right shoulder was bothering me but I'm happy I made it to 130 with no misses.

    170x5x3@8

notes: I feel like I may be getting sick. This workout just felt real tough. I'm hoping I just feel normal tomorrow when I wake up.

    110x1x3

    7/7
    Squat
405x5@8 beltless and much harder then I anticipated
    455x3@8
510x2@7.5 I think this is when I finally warmed up
535x2@8 PR definitely 2 possibly 3 in the tank here. This is the first time a weight like this felt light on my back
    405x5x3@8 beltless

    Clean and Jerks
    70x2x2
    110x2
    140x1

notes: just had no gas in the tank after squats

    7/8
    Front Squat
    385x1@8
    425x1@9

    Snatch
    50x3x2
    70x2

    135x1F

    Deadlift
    415x5 beltless/hook
    475x5 belt and straps
    545x6

notes: right shoulder has been getting real pissed off lately from snatches.

    7/10
    Front Squat
    385x1@8
    425x1@9

    Snatch (narrowed grip)
    50x3
    70x2
    90x1
    110x1
    115x1
    120x1
    125x1
    130x1F

    Clean and Jerk
    70x2
    110x2
    140x1x2
    145x1x2
    150x1
    140x1x2

notes: narrowing my grip really helped mitigate the right shoulder pain I've been getting from snatches and as an added bonus allowed me to fully set my back in the setup. I'm sticking with it.

Fun to follow along with your training. I'm really excited to watch you compete at nationals. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this year, but it is going to be a hell of an event. Keep training hard, take care of the shoulder! Glad the narrowed snatch grip helps/

As DiStasio alluded to my next meet is going to be USAW's Nationals around August 14th.

Thanks man I really appreciate the support. It looks like narrowing the grip is going to be a game changer.

    7/12
    10:30am

    Front Squat
    385x1@8
    425x1@9

    Snatch
    50x2x2
    70x2
    90x1
    100x1
    110x1x2
    115x1x2
120x1F This was a really stupid miss. Some dude walked 2 feet in front of me and stopped right as I was passing my knee. Just lost focus.
    120x1x2
    125x1x2
    130x1x2

notes: No shoulder pain while snatching. 130 has been my weekly training max so to hit it for 2 singles, on a volume day, and at the height of my fatigue accumulation is very promising. Excited to see what happens with this narrow grip over the next month.

    6:00pm
    Press
    200x5 no belt/wraps
    225x3@8 belt + wraps
    250x2@8
    265x2@9.5 PR
    200x5x3 no belt/wraps

    Chins
    5,5,5,5,6

notes: Had bet going with a crossfitter on the 265 press. It was his front squat versus my press and he had a 5lb and 1 rep handicap. His PR was 255 so if he PRed and hit 260 I would have to PR also and double 265 to tie... he missed.

I know you're humble, but I like to imagine those three dots "..." signify the number of air punches you did when you won x3.

lol that's exactly what they symbolize.

    7/14
    Squat
    405x2@7
    455x2@7 belt
    495x2@8
    535x1@9

    Clean and Jerk
    70x2x2
    110x2
    130x1
    145x1
    160x1
    165x1F missed Jerk

notes: This is going to be a much needed low stress week. I'm feeling very beat up after last week. Going to cut volume on the strength stuff and try to keep the olympic stuff as constant as possible.
