    Whats up everybody,

I'm 23, 6'1 and weigh 233 pounds. I competed in my first powerlifting meet on November 11th, totaled 1435, and am now hooked. I've been following the site for awhile and finally decided to start an online log. There is a link to my meet below.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=3TmSE5ugoX4

    My Current 1RMs are
    Squat: 530
    Bench: 335
    Deadlift: 570
    Power Clean: 330
    Press: 225

Im just coming back off a recovery week after the meet and made the mistake of believing that I would just be able to pick up where I left off. This may be one of the hardest workouts I've ever done. Every thing was hard and my body was red lining the whole time but for some reason I was able to finish and push through. It took about 2.5 hours.

    Mon 11/20
    Squats 45x10, 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 365x2, 425x5x3
    Press 45x10, 95x5, 125x5, 155x3, 175x2, 195x5x3
    Power Clean 155x3, 205x2, 260x1, 280x3x5

Thanks Gillian. Ironically I was a golfer for my high school sports career but always lifted weights... just not efficiently.

    Squats 45x10x2, 135x5, 185x5, 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, 340x5 deload
    Bench 45x10, 135x5, 165x5, 195x3, 225x2, 255x1, 280x5x3
    Chin ups 9,8,9

    Prowler: 140lbs for 5 40yd sprints. 20yds high/ 20yds low

Lifted with John Petrizzo and still felt like crap from tuesday. It was a little cold in the gym and had to take a couple of extra warmups. I almost tried those 1.25 pound plates on bench to do 277.5, but took the tampon out last minutes and crushed 280. The prowler was brutal, first time doing it since the summer. We kinda made a scene. After that 5th sprint at least I was laid out in the parking lot. Can't wait to do it again next week.

I think some of the other gym members were strongly considering calling for medical attention.

Nick, good to see you passed your exam and that JP passed on my demand that you start a log here. You have some great talent for this, you'd better make the most of it. 1435 at your first meet, and you know you left some weight on the platform for all 3 lifts. You should total elite soon. Maybe even before I do. Which will piss me off, but make me proud at the same time.

Look forward to seeing your progress here.

Nice work, dude. What sort of programming are you doing?

And the best part of sled sprints is making a scene. I love the horrified looks I get from Normals.

Right now I'm running the late stage novice progression of starting strength and trying to take linear progression all the way to the end. Basically starting strength with a deload on squats on the middle day.

Damn man - you are strong as hell to still be running novice linear progression. You've got the potential to blow up. Nice lifting man.
