A post lunch nap sounds delightful. Squats looked really good yesterday.

    Friday February 15

    Squat
    2x5 45lbs
    1x5 135
    1x3 225
    1x2 275
    1x1 305
    3x5 325

    Bench
    2x5 45
    1x5 135
    1x3 185
    1x2 215
    3x5 235

    Deadlift (90% of last workout)
    2x5 135
    1x5 225
    1x3 305
3x3 337 (we have some 1lb plates at the gym so I thought I'd put them to use), belted up but still used a hook grip on these

Skipped that post lunch nap and I could definitely tell during my workout. Bench felt the best it has in a while...probably since the meet. All reps on all sets felt great. One thing I have noticed is that taking epsom salt baths after lifting significantly helps w recovery.

Dude, we have those for the women that are stuck on their presses...just round to the nearest 5...don't become this anal this early in your life. You'll be unbearable at 30.

I wish I had your problems!

Strong lifts, let's see how far this will run.

Those 1lbers were looking a little lonely, but yeah the last thing I need to do is start weighing my plates out to make sure they are within a gram of each other.

At our gym, they are! Just keep doing what you're doing. You're getting stronger every day. Let's get the DL up to 425x5 on LP.

    Thanks Mac!

Since Mike is a few lbs a head of me, he is making me work a lot harder. I'm hoping he doesn't slow down anytime soon.

BTW....I hope you got that squat session on video today....

    Monday February 18

    Squats
    2x5 45lbs
    1x5 135
    1x3 225
    1x2 275
1x1 310, threw on the belt
    3x5 330

    Press
    2x5 45lbs
    1x5 95
    1x3 115
    1x2 135
    3x5 150

    Deadlifts
    2x5 135
    1x3 225
1x2 315, still double over hand
1x1 355, threw on the belt and went mixed grip
1x5 385 (hit 4 then had to take a step back before the last one. couldn't hold the arch in my low back.)

    Chins
    3x8 w 25lbs

Squats and presses are feeling better with each workout. 330 felt better than 315 did last week and 150 on press felt like 135. Must have shot my wod on the squats because my deads took a hit. Oh well, can't win them all. Just have to come back tomorrow and crush 90% of that.

Keep pushing. Your squat will drive the DL. Keep getting that back rigidly set for each and every pull, starting with 135.
