    3/23/13 ***Battle on the Border***

This was a great meet! Jon Mouzon and South Carolina USAPL made the day efficient. The lifters made the day wonderful.
I met so many inspiring women - from the first time competitors, to the seasoned "pros"; from the juniors to the awesome masters. I loved watching the biggest guys rooting for and congratulating the ladies (and vice-versa, of course). I, myself, lost my voice midway into the bench presses, but continued to scream through the last of the deadlifts - still no voice today!

I love that such a diverse group of people with so many different goals and abilities can all come together and genuinely and lovingly support each other. I love this sport.

BW 120.2lbs (waaaaayy under weight, over did the last minute dehydrating)
My plan for this meet was to lay everything on the line for third attempts, knowing I was taking a risk. I'm proud of myself for getting beyond the fear.

    Squats
    75kg - 3 white lights
    80kg - 3 whites, new meet PR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rDEzkBdoDE
    85kg - fail. Glad I went for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc6bCwhBR0Y

    BP
    50kg - 3 whites
    52.5kg - 3 whites, new meet PR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RlKLR3q4KM
55kg - fail. Dear 120lbs, why must you mock me in public?

    DL
    107.5kg - white, white, white
    115kg - 3 whites, new meet PR
122.5 - 2 reds, judges said I hitched. I think I moved my left leg and it was seen as a hitch. Would've been a 15lb PR. Feel free to critique the lift, please. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmIh7Zke39M

Total 247.5kg - New meet PR by 15kg.

Back at it Monday to mess around with snatches and cleans.

Super awesome job, MISS Beast!!! I totally agree with you about how wonderful the community can be. I was so surprised at my first meet when everyone was cheering for everyone else and super supportive. It's amazing. I made so many friends. Congratulations!!!
