    200203 Monday

    Squat 325x5x5
    Wraps 355x3x2, raw 355x3
    High bar 260x6x3
    Ab wheel BWx8x5

Really miss having access to a leg extension or hamstring curl or adductor/abductor machine. Did my 3rd wrapped set raw because taking the time to wrap was getting annoying. Increasing the high bar weights intentionally slower than the real squat weights. Not really looking to push hard on those, just doing them as an accessory. High bar has made my hips and back feel bad in the past, so taking it easier there.

I’ll update my missed logs later, just want to get today’s down for now.

    02/25/20 Tuesday

    Squat 345x5x5
    Wraps 375x3x2, raw 375x3
    High bar 270x6x3
    Bench 85x25x3
    Ab wheel BWx8x5

Pretty cold today, about 12 F out. Left foot felt like it was on the verge of cramping from coldness during the last set of the 5x5 and the first wrapped set. Held it in front of the heater and it seemed to clear up for the last squats.

Timed my exercises. Took about 60 minutes from starting to stretch to completion of the 5x5. Stretching probably took 15-20 minutes of that. About 30 minutes for the 3 sets after—wrapping really wears me out even with loose wraps. Finished the high bar sets 19 minutes after.

Kept a timer of 3.5 minutes between sets for the 5x5 and the high bar but it takes me a couple minutes whenever I need to change the weights out bc it’s tight in the garage. Wrap sets always end up being ~8 minutes total per set because I need to catch my breath and let my arms rest.

    Deadlift 325x5x5
(right knee achy on 2nd and maybe 3rd. Facing other way for 4th (floor slope making my right leg longer)). Knee felt better 4th, bad 5th. Toe probably turned out too much. Super loose belt 5th set
RDL 235x6x3 (should probably up the weight, these are pretty much a joke)
    Shrugs? 135x12x3
    Bent row 135x10x5
    Chins BWx5x3

I think my arms are too short to do shrugs, this was mostly an exercise of avoiding nailing my .... Did bent over rows because I didn’t feel like dealing with loading my DBs. Anyway, deadlifted for two consecutive weeks in a row! My motivation to do this workout was probably 1.01 on a scale of 1-10.

These types of sessions are torture..but you did it. The payout is down the road.

    200307 Saturday

    Squat 355x5x5
    Wraps 385x3x2, raw 385x3
    High bar 275x6x3
    Ab wheel BWx10x5

Edited to add I was trying to pay more attention to my bar path. I’ve had a habit of pushing it forward coming out of the hole and/or letting it drift forward on the way down. Thinking about elbows under seems to help with both.

    Bench

    135x8 (4 max grip, 4 CG)
    185x4 (2 max, 2 CG)

    275x5 CG BD
    315x1 CG BD

    JM press 75x10x3 superset with
Rear delt flye 25x10x3 superset with

Mostly playing around today and seeing how messed up my chest is. Should probably just only do close grip bench at this point lol.

    200311 Wednesday

Deadlift 335x5x5 (knees still hurting, really annoying. Could be worse today bc didn’t have long socks and immediately scraped my shins up. Also could be uneven floor, who knows. Also could be thinking too much about knees out)
    RDL 255x6x3
    Shrugs 135x12x3 superset with
    Chins BWx6x3

Might need to actually do something about my uneven floor. Deadlifts just haven’t felt right in the garage.

    200315 Sun
    Squat 365x5x5
    Wraps 395x3x2, raw 395x3
    High bar 280x6x3
    Ab wheel BWx10x5

Wasn’t feeling great at the start but things ended up moving pretty well. Been doing a lot of volume—my hip is starting to feel it especially with the deadlifts in there too now. Deload week coming up soon.

    starting strength coach development program
    200320 Fri
    Deadlift 345x5x5
    Straps down 375x3x3
    RDL 265x6x3
    Shrugs 135x15x3
    Chins BWx7x3

DLing on the uneven floor is harder than the weight. Could probably do sets of 15-20 here. Kept switching which way I was facing in the garage, both felt meh. Maybe during the quarantine I’ll try to level my platform. Have everything I need except for some cheap wood and some leveling compound.

Threw my new suit on (intentionally bought a size up to use as an easy training suit) for some reps just to break the monotony. Again weight felt suuuuper light but the floor was making me hesitate.

One day I’ll work up the motivation to bench again lol.
