    From Thursday:

    My abs and upper back were realllllllly sore from press day somehow. I’ve never had soreness from press day before. So anyway that was a factor.

    [Barely hit this. The warmups and working set didn’t feel good at all. I noticed in video review that my back was rounding. It might have been due to my sore core. It should have been easier.]

    [Last rep was a grinder. I supposed this setback is to be expected after not squatting for over a month. Wow, how has it been that long?]

    [Good ab and glute activation. Unfortunately it’s only loadable to 130 lbs. Even 10 reps works up a good sweat though. Could probably do this for cardio. Might actually do that. 20 reps would be hard or doing AMRAP in a minute.]

    [Had to use alternating grip for the 315 because the bar was slipping too much. I’ll bring chalk next time.]

    [The first rep flew. Almost had 3 reps. Not sure why I lost strength so quickly from the first rep to the third rep attempt. I hit 260x3 about a month ago and without much difficulty. At this point, hopefully I can just hang on to this strength level while I finish up my dissertation within the next couple of months.]
