Tried and failed. Nothing worth logging. Too tired to do anything fun.

The last 72 hours or so have been pretty nightmarish and emotionally draining, but I managed to sneak off to the gym for quick light day. Feels good to do something other than freaking out. Hopefully things even out a bit and I can train harder Friday/Saturday/Sunday....

    Push
    Snatch press: 95lbx5, 115x5
    Snatch push press: 135x5
Left shoulder continues to not like this movement, but hey, it's not like it's the bottleneck keeping me from Klokoving 120kg or anything, right?

    Squat
    Front squat: 270x3x3

This was a total failure. Dunno what happened, but I'll probably start benching again. This no-bench experiment isn't working out too well.

    Squat
    Squat: 310x5x3

    Push
    Bench press: 185x5x3
    Easy.

    Squat
    Front squat: 275x3x3

    Sn/CJ

    Pulls

    Eccentric clean pull:
    60kgx5
    100x5
    130x5
    140x5
    145x5

Deadlift: 169kgx5 I think this is a weight and rep PR

As you all can see, these last few weeks I've been doing everything BUT the classical lifts. What happened was, with my recent work hours, I haven't been able to lift except in the middle of the night, and dropping weights from overhead are not allowed at those times because it wakes the neighbors, so I figured it was a good time to get stronger. So far so good, I think.

Squat and leave kind of day. My low back was still thoroughly fried from the deadlifts I did on Tuesday and all I wanted to do was foam roll and leave, really.

    Push

    Squat
    Squat: 315x5x3

Hooray I'm back into the special three-wheel club for intermediate boys, i.e. lifting the same weight I first lifted 2.5 years ago. The last set was a bit ugly but oh well. It wasn't fatigue per se. I just suddenly lost all my intensity after an easy set 2 for some reason and just couldn't get myself fired back up.

Storytime: I had way too much fiber yesterday (delicious beef stew was delicious and made all the veggies delicious too) and went to the gym feeling.....loose, if you will. The gym's bathroom is kind of janky so no go on that one. I thought I was alone in the room, so I was doing my best to, well, to keep it real here, fart gigantic rumbling farts between sets, figuring if I lowered the pressure that way, I wouldn't suffer a much more catastrophic event at the bottom of the hole. I was doing okay, but then, as I was gearing up for set 3, I hear the sound of the portable sauna door opening, and, to my horror, Adorable European Girl (the one from before when I had the unfortunate shortshorts on) walks out from inside that steamy box of mystery. I have no idea how much of it she heard, but I wouldn't be surprised if she now thinks I am an even bigger piece of shit than she had already surmised. Fuck. Guess our smart and beautiful half-Old World babies aren't going to exist now.

Boring vanilla day doing poundages I've done before. But hey, stronger today than yesterday, I guess.

Didn't really want to train today, but I did wanted to go to the gym and de-stress a bit, so:

    Push

    Squat

    Sn/CJ

    Pulls

    Eccentric snatch pulls:
    60kgx5x2, 100x5, 120x5, 125x5

    Snatch deadlift: 130x7

Made a mistake. Should have snatch-pulled my way up to 120 and then snatch-DL'ed 125. I was wondering why it all felt so heavy, what with the rising hips and all. I might take this again, or not... Let's see how strong I am when I rotate back to this exercise.

Ehhh.....aggravating day at work. Boss has checked out for life and is making it a very deliberate point to not do his job; we joked about his midlife crisis a few years ago but now his ship is sinking 4realz and he's taking all of us with him, leaving morale at an all time low. I received a particularly obnoxious email during warmups that left me so furious that I banged out the first four sets of presses with barely any break. Just dumped pure hatred into the bar. Then the adrenaline crashed out and I thought about passing out but told myself that Gillian and Friends wouldn't bitch out, and did the last set. Squats were out of the question though.

    Push
    Military press: 155x5x4
    Gillian press: 155x5

    Squat
Putting a few hundred lbs on my shoulders when I could barely stand? No thanks.

No sleep in quite some time. Interesting...but better not take any chances.

    Push

    Squat
    Squat: 335x1 over-warmup, 325x5x3
This was weird. The first set of 5 ended with two grinders and I thought I was screwed, but then the next two sets went up and down super easy. I'll take it.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. I found my knee sleeves today and thought I'd use them again for no good reason. Knee/bar path both felt a bit funny and by God this was harder than it should have been.

GODDAMMIT I hate missing a last rep.

First time ever that a DL felt heavy. I'm guessing 405x1 is already well in the bag but I'm going to hold off on attempting that until I 5RM my way there.
