Good work on that waist, too.

Congrats on the Easter deadlift PRs. (Seems like there should be a joke involving the dead and rising up but I'm not the guy for it.)

Since I'm a newbie and I get to ask the SSCs questions that are probably impossible to answer - do you think the thinner waist or the 3" belt helps more? And how long does it take to convince a spouse that a second belt is necessary?

Deadlift setup is easier, which may be because I'm skinnier, or because I've done a ton of deadlifting and I'm just not afraid of it anymore. Also the belt.

Spousal convincing is above my pay grade.

In A Commercial Gym (oh my goodness)

Paused squat: 455x2x6. The pauses were short because I kept getting distracted by the mirror.

    Bench: 365x3x5

    CGBP: 350x3x5

Lotsa people doing advanced assistance work for arms and chest. Not a single squat was done that day, other than by me.

Obviously the problem here is that you're just too handsome.

    I hadn't thought of that. I think you're right.

    More commercial gym fun.

    Deadlift Paused 385x3, 360x3x3

Bench press 410x2x6. Old bro asked me before the first one if I needed a spot. "No thanks, I'm fine." "How much do you bench?" "Um, 450." "wow. What's that gadget you're using?" "It's a slingshot. Just helps you get a bit of an overload. For use by advanced benchers. Really, not such a big deal. . ." "Slingshot, hmmm?"

Crap. They got the wrong message.

Press: 210x2. I was tired and had no belt, so whatever. 205x3x4

    Pullups.

    Done.

If you're gonna be slingshotting that much in a commercial gym you should be getting paid by Mark Bell and handing out coupon codes

    KARL450 for ten percent off!
