    SQ - 45x5, 135x5, 225x3
    DL - 135x5, 225x3, 315x2, 365x1, 405x1, 430x1, 405x3
    PR - 45x5, 65x5, 85x3, 105x2, 125x1, 155x1, 140x3x2
    BB Curl - 60x3x12

In gym early due to trip this afternoon even though I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to watch UK advance to the championship game. A couple of weeks ago, my left knee on the top, outside felt a little sore while doing paused SQ's. Didn't notate it on-line as it was no big deal and has not gotten in the way of top sets. Has been just a touch swollen and was sore in warm-up SQ's and first two warmup DL sets but fine afterward.

The 430 was not terribly hard even though it got out in front of me a little at the beginning. I am still struggling a bit with set-up. Instead of doing a higher single, decided to do a little back-off volume. Local meet is Saturday and planning on training Weds. and maybe something real light on Thursday - will see. I've always planned to train through this meet. I've gone into my past two meets with my training rocking and high expectations. We'll see how the strategy of going into this one with so-so training the past couple of weeks and low expectations works.

Good luck at the meet Walter. It will be interesting to see how your plan of training through the meet works.

    Weds. 9 April 2014

    SQ - 45x5, 135x5, 225x2, 275x1, 315x1, 365x1, 385x1, 345x3x2
    DL - 135x3, 225x2, 315x2, 365x1, 405x1
    BP - 45x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x1, 265x1, 290x1, 255x3, 245x2x3

Plan today was to work up to last warm-up weight for Saturday for the SQ and DL and work up to opener on BP. I thought 290 might be my opener on Saturday. It is not. Today's 290 was a grind. Granted, I had already done SQ and DL but was much harder than the 290 last week. I really shouldn't be terribly surprised as just got back from three nights at a conference with too little protein, too little sleep, and too much beer. I've heard rumors that those things can effect your performance on the platform..

Rumors shmumers. Sounds like a fun weekend to me!

Seriously though, good work in here. Training meets are fun because you put so much less pressure on yourself. Just go out, take what you have, and enjoy it!

Thanks Ed. We'll see. Either way, it will be a heavy day that will provide great training stimulus and I'm sure it will be fun. Your lifting has been looking good recently and the DL's are on the right track, they just may take a little time.

Really good point. It will be fun and great training. Jordan actually has me planning to do back-off sets on the SQ and BP after I'm done with my attempts in the context of this being a training meet.
